DH pisses around toilet

PissoirPissedOff · 28/11/2024 21:20

We moved into our new home and the first thing I did was to clean the bathroom, including disinfecting the toilet area which was covered in mouldy spots. Within about an hour, DH had pissed all over the rim of the toilet and the floor just under the toilet had a small puddle of piss. I have asked him not to do this, just to wipe it dry when he misses the bowl. He says this is not his job.

I'm not particularly OCD about this sort of thing, I just like a clean bathroom and would prefer to clean it just once a week rather than daily/hourly.

I AM being unreasonable = This is beyond the scope of what is expected of a normal male in his own home.

I am NOT being unreasonable = Why can't he just make that small effort (quick wipe with tissues) so that I don't have to clean the toilet every day, and to save me getting my toes wet in a puddle of his piss?

That's minging what would he do if he lived alone? Obviously when potty training your toddler you clean it up. But we shouldn't have to clean up a grown man's piss. Tell him to grow the fuck up.

Snugglemonkey · 28/11/2024 22:26

It is not just unfair. It is so far beyond that.

Yes it is. He is expecting you to clear up his piss. Read those words out loud.

Dotto · 28/11/2024 22:29

PissoirPissedOff · 28/11/2024 22:27

Yes, of course I said that. But it didn't get me anywhere. He just doesn't get it.

Of course he fucking gets it. He just doesn't want to stop making you his piss monkey.

Sparklfairy · 28/11/2024 22:29

PissoirPissedOff · 28/11/2024 22:27

Yes, of course I said that. But it didn't get me anywhere. He just doesn't get it.

I think he absolutely gets it. He just won't dare say it out loud.

hoxtonbabe · 28/11/2024 22:30

Lollypop25 · 28/11/2024 21:29

Surely you don't need to ask this. He should be ashamed.

Whose job is it exactly?

When he goes to work whose job is it?

To a friend's house? Not that I think a pissy bitch like him deserves friends.

This is exactly what popped into my head… “so who’s job is it”🤣

I mean I had to laugh at this because I would love for a man to tell me this, I would actually welcome this kind of BS and take pleasure in laying into him for even thinking, let alone saying such shite.

Yes, of course I said that. But it didn't get me anywhere. He just doesn't get it.

What was his response?

There’s really nothing to get. He’s using the loo and leaving urine for ‘someone’ to clean. Who and why?

BonfireToffee · 28/11/2024 22:31

My dad has this issue — and I’ve been shocked to discover it seems not at all uncommon.

He would leave the toilet in a filthy state — piss all over the floor and seat, and huge streaks of shit down the toilet.

Literally nothing would stop him — I asked, cajoled, raged, got upset; he did not give a single, solitary fuck.

Ultimately I had to completely ban him from using my toilet when he came round. Were no contact now because I can’t maintain a relationship with someone who has such obvious and complete contempt for me.

Your husband thinks it’s your job to deal with his filth, OP, despite knowing it distresses and disgusts you.

That is so far from OK; please don’t put up with it any longer.

Nap1983 · 28/11/2024 22:31

The issue isnt that he misses I reckon they all do 🥴
A normal response would have been “sorry ill clean that up”

Lwrenn · 28/11/2024 22:32

Please tell him that his being less house trained than a cat is drying up our vaginas.

Whatwouldnanado · 28/11/2024 22:32

This is completely repugnant. He has no respect for you whatsoever. No one deserves this from another adult.

Dotto · 28/11/2024 22:33

The simple answer is that he does this because you clean it up. Stop.

Wigtopia · 28/11/2024 22:33

PissoirPissedOff · 28/11/2024 22:27

Yes, of course I said that. But it didn't get me anywhere. He just doesn't get it.

Could you try shitting on the toilet seat and telling him it’s not your job to clear it up? That might get you somewhere

Exactly. @PissoirPissedOff how long have you been together? Do you want children?

CatamaranViper · 28/11/2024 22:34

My 7 year old son recognises that it's his job to clean up his own piss if/when he misses the bowl. He's done this since he started doing stand-up wees.
Even if he has had a "blind spot", I've called him back and he's cleaned it up straight away.
I refuse to clean up piss and shit for people/animals who can do it themselves.

ThatTealViewer · 28/11/2024 22:35

This is the second thread I’ve seen in the last five minutes where a man is being awful (and really quite strange) and his partner (the OP) is both passively accepting said awfulness and claiming that - apart from the single aberration and blatant disrespect - he’s really a lovely chap.

The other one isn’t allowed to touch the television, and hasn’t been for 12 years of marriage.

Because it's what men do, apparently....?!?!!

SideProfile · 28/11/2024 22:36

I have a 2 and 4 year old who barely miss, but it they do - I don’t know about it because they clean it up immediately. To get them to learn this, I stood above them and talked them through the process - maybe you need to do that

ThatTealViewer · 28/11/2024 22:36

PissoirPissedOff · 28/11/2024 22:35

That doesn’t answer the question of who is meant to clean it up, OP.

Kick him the fuck out
Or piss on his belongings

He knows I clean the bathroom once a week and doesn't see why it can't wait until then.

Gowlett · 28/11/2024 22:38

My DH does it. I don’t understand. It’s depressing…

Point out it must be because his tiny willy can’t reach.

Neggroni · 28/11/2024 22:39

This absolutely boils my piss. My DC's school has just had new toilets installed a week ago. My DD 8 was complaining how disgusting there are already. She says she regularly has to wipe other people's urine of the seat before she uses it which she rightly thinks is foul. Neither she or my DS 9 can get there head around why you wouldn't wipe it up yourself. Some people are just dirty pigs.

Dotto · 28/11/2024 22:39

PissoirPissedOff · 28/11/2024 22:38

He's a thick, disgusting pig. And what are you going to do about this?

justasking111 · 28/11/2024 22:40

Mine has prostate issues, poor flow he doesn't turn on the light at night. He used to blame our sons. They're gone now. I do sometimes pick him up on it so he's more careful for a while.

You're not being unreasonable.

Christmasmorale · 28/11/2024 22:40

PissoirPissedOff · 28/11/2024 22:27

Yes, of course I said that. But it didn't get me anywhere. He just doesn't get it.

Rather than beg him to clean it up, share that funny story from your last night out with the girls. The one where you were all naming the worst icks and you all agreed that men who piss around the toilet seat was the biggest sexual turn off. And that you all laughed about how cleaning a man’s piss is the ultimate ick- like wiping an 80 year olds sugar daddy’s arse. Laugh and leave it at that.

I’m sure that will get the message across.
