DH pisses around toilet

PissoirPissedOff · 28/11/2024 21:20

We moved into our new home and the first thing I did was to clean the bathroom, including disinfecting the toilet area which was covered in mouldy spots. Within about an hour, DH had pissed all over the rim of the toilet and the floor just under the toilet had a small puddle of piss. I have asked him not to do this, just to wipe it dry when he misses the bowl. He says this is not his job.

I'm not particularly OCD about this sort of thing, I just like a clean bathroom and would prefer to clean it just once a week rather than daily/hourly.

I AM being unreasonable = This is beyond the scope of what is expected of a normal male in his own home.

I am NOT being unreasonable = Why can't he just make that small effort (quick wipe with tissues) so that I don't have to clean the toilet every day, and to save me getting my toes wet in a puddle of his piss?

Does he think the piss fairies come in and wipe up after him?

gamerchick · 28/11/2024 21:34

My ex does this. He still does it if he visits. It's a sign of contempt. He has no respect for you and I'm pretty sure it will be in other areas of your lives.

Unfortunately it can't be cured other than not living together.

Thatnameistaken · 28/11/2024 21:34

He's vile, I'd match his vileness by cleaning it up with his toothbrush...

chailatte8 · 28/11/2024 21:34

Obviously you aren't being unreasonable .. why would it be anyone's job but his to clean up his own urine

LadyGaGasPokerFace · 28/11/2024 21:34

Wipe your fanny and arse on his pillow case and wish him sweet dreams 👌🏽

Merryoldgoat · 28/11/2024 21:35

No way this is true

PissoirPissedOff · 28/11/2024 21:37

I just don't quite understand it. In all other respects he's the most considerate person I know. This is just a complete blind spot (for him)!

I've never had a partner who misses? Three teenage Grandsons don't even miss.
Didn't know it was a thing? Surely as a boy learning you are taught how to pee into a toilet bowl.. it's big enough.
Think it's just lazy aiming anywhere and if anyone did it at my house... they would be licking it clean.
It's vile and disgusting.

I console myself that at least it's not plops.

Yet!!!!!!!!!!

Some men are just dirty beasts and cannot piss straight into a loo. And they have not been told when wee, to do this. (No pun intended 😃)

FuckILookLike · 28/11/2024 21:38

Not his job? How insulting. Are you the piss cleaner or what

Pieceofpurplesky · 28/11/2024 21:39

What a prince amongst men. I couldn't live with someone so disrespectful

Irrelevant if he's otherwise considerate when his response to you REASONABLY asking him to clean up after himself is 'its not my job'.

Relationship ender for me, sorry.

Screamingabdabz · 28/11/2024 21:39

He’s a dirty bastard in the first instance - what is he, 3 and just learning to use the potty? And he is basically saying it’s your job to wipe up after his piss - so sexist, infantile and useless.

Ick central.

I would have no respect for a ‘man’ like this. He wants a mummy not a wife. Why are you with him?

Raise your bar OP. No man who respects you would behave like this.

Did you not ask him whose job it is? And why he thinks it’s not his job?

I mean clearly he thinks it’s your job and had said as much in an indirect way but would be interesting if he actually came out and said it.

weareallcats · 28/11/2024 21:40

He thinks it is your job to wipe up his piss. OMFG.

UncharteredWaters · 28/11/2024 21:40

Clean it with his pillow. Then move out.

username8348 · 28/11/2024 21:24

I'd drop kick the twat from the front door.

😂 brilliant comment - but yeah he's a misogynist prick. Wipe up his piss with his clothes.

Topseyt123 · 28/11/2024 21:41

Not his job!!! NOT HIS JOB!! WHAT THE FUCK??

His piss, his job to clean it up! I'd be very tempted to rub his nose in the puddle of his piss if he said any such thing to me, and he might very well find himself making a very swift exit from the home and the relationship if he didn't swiftly revise his attitude!

What an arse!

applestewing · 28/11/2024 21:42

I’d use his toothbrush to help clean it up

Then I’d tell him to stop or piss off out of my life let alone on the floor

what an utter grot who does he expect to clean his piss?

GreatTheCat · 28/11/2024 21:43

He said it wasn't his job. He's not forgetting, he's just not doing it because it's not his job!

Utter pig.

AtomHeartMotherOfGod · 28/11/2024 21:44

Like everyone else, I was genuinely 🤯 when I read 'not his job'.

You are going to repeat that back to him ad nauseum, in a sort of 'It's beyond my control' from Dangerous Liaisons way, every time he asks for a favour, sex or anything.

Or yes, leave him. He is a prize cunt.

Rainbow321 · 28/11/2024 21:45

Shit in his car , and tell him it's not your job to clean it .

Merryoldgoat · 28/11/2024 21:35

No way this is true

Sadly, this does happen. And not just with pee either.
One of the reasons my ex is an ex.

StripeyDeckchair · 28/11/2024 21:46

Its not his job!!

What the fuck!

I woukd pull him up on it Every Single Time & as you've just moved in I'm guessing family & friends will be coming round to see the new house.
I would make sure I said something in front of them

"DH, I know you think it's my job but I'm never going cleaning up your piss and, yet again, the toilet and toilet floor are covered in your piss. Please go & clear it up before someone wants to use it"

Particularly good if you could question his mother about his toilet habits - was he ever toilet trained?
