I mean, I very much doubt this will get anywhere in the parliament but nearly 2 mil people signed it in just over 24 hours 😬

?

Did you sign the petition by any chance?

Actually, I haven't - do you think I should?

Littlemissgobby · 25/11/2024 15:27

I keep asking this question, but does anybody really truthfully believe that you signing a f petition is going to overthrow the government?
And I am not a massive fan of labour. I just cannot stand right-wing. Parties like conservatives or reform. Because i'm not a racist or a bigot or an evil person.

@Littlemissgobby I know how you feel about Labour but not everyone shares that view. You're also likely not in one of the groups impacted by their terrible policies

Many are - hence the polls, petition and CBI statement

What terrible policies? Are you against laws to safeguard women from spiked drinks? maybe you are.

Most people are not impacted at all.... its all froth by people who are pissed their party lost.

Yes I saw that good policy or the one about those having to pay unfair communal charges by dodgy freehold people I believe

EasternStandard · 25/11/2024 15:31

As for 'which policies'

All the policies people are lobbying against ie those impacting

Farmers
Businesses
Pensioners

And those that have taken growth down from doing better to stagnation plus a contracting private sector as shown in the PMI data

No wonder Labour have the polls they do and a petition with that ability to ignore so much. Only 8% share your view @louddumpernoise

EasternStandard · 25/11/2024 15:32

Labour do get angsty on here. Aim it at Starmer and Reeves

It's their policies people are reacting to.

If you don't mind the people supporting this then go ahead, personally I think it's a waste of time.

EasternStandard · 25/11/2024 15:48

@Littlemissgobby your insults undermine your argument

Labour will struggle to reconcile public spending with a contracting private sector and /or there's little growth

They won't be able to tax and borrow £70bn next year. So we'll see how it goes

Unlike the CBI and farmers who have said they feel betrayed by Labour it was pretty easy to see what would happen beforehand

I'm interested to see how they deal with little growth v fastest in G7 claim. And what they do about spending.

No doubt you signed the Revoke Article 50 petition.

If you don't mind the people supporting this then go ahead

You want the objectionable Swedish journalist to have freedom of movement to the UK - not me!

I don't think it's a waste of time - the BBC reported the petition has gathered the third highest number of signatures since 2010.

there is a lot of bot accounts that have signed this.
If you have some proof of this you'd better let UK Parliament know that their petition system is flawed.
If you don't, you're just trying to polarise this into left vs right.

It's left versus right.

Plenty of foreign far-right activists have admitted they have signed it and there is tons of bot activity. It was promoted on X.

Look I get all that i am sorry if you feel o am insulting you. But I have no patience anymore as it's been obvious from the start people gave tge tories under austerity etc much easier time then they are willing yo give labour.
They and I repeat have only been in 6 months and already this manufactured outrage fuelled I believe by the rich big voices, alot of well to the right voices to and various other factors

Yes - this petition - 3rd highest number of signatures since 2010.

Cherrysoup · 25/11/2024 16:11

Do people want the right back in? Because they did such a smashing job over the past years?

I have already posted this:

Postcode SW1A 2AA is Number 10 Downing Street and SW1A 1AA is Buckingham Palace - they might be rumbled!
Haven't checked the others.

Of course, Starmer could be a far-right mole.

No one believes it will overthrow the government. Many people rightly believe it will embarrass Starmer. It already has done. He has been asked questions about it by broom cupboards Andi Peters. You'd have to go some to devise a more ridiculous encounter than that! The government is not popular. No one has to give them an easy ride.

And yet, the one I just spoke about wanting us back in the eu got over six million and it did not get debated. This is not going to get debated plus as we keep saying, many of these people signed are not real people, they are bots

The Tories got an easy ride in the papers and labour are actively trying yo achieve more. I see how the far right have galvanised this, so what you are saying? This is a way to embarrass labour. This started since July and the riots fundamentally behind all of this has been the money, follow the money of the people that back reform actually out of every party. Just before the election on Twitter, byline times did an article the other day, showing how much Russian propaganda In the bots have actually systematically forwarded reform compared to the other parties on Twitter. This is what's happening. It's a destabilization of the west interestingly, how trump got in with a lot of russian bots too misinformation is happening across the west

Not really, but I hope it makes him cry himself to sleep tonight.

It seems that yes they do since July big actuve raking down starmer be aware it's not a coincidence then you get elon musk sharing it

BeardofHagrid · 25/11/2024 16:18

How old are you? Because you're obviously about a ten year old child, one of these stupid blokes, that thinks reform, a decent, you do realise he's not going to cry, I wouldn't cry. I would like be like who the fuck gives his s, i've got five more years and fEm.
In fact, I think I would start playing a bit more dirtier. Especially with the likes of reform who seem very happy with elon musk foreign interference, because they are not patriots, they are putin apologists, I think stamer needs to start attacking more

To add to my previous post - by far the highest number of people in your limited screenshot reside in Spain (744) and only 2 in Russia - what is odd about that? British citizens are allowed to sign the petition.
