Really annoyed.. School mum..wwyd?

My dd is friends with a child in school who has recurrent headlice. The school mum is an acquaintance through our dds & every time her daughter gets a dose of the lice she texts me rather accusingly to "check my daughters hair". I do this weekly & she is always in the clear. She isn't texting any other mums as I've asked a close friend from the class... I'm actually getting very upset over the constant messages! Aibu? What do I reply.. Tonight I said "dds out at a match, I'll check when she gets in".. She saw the message didnt reply.. I dutifully checked dds hair with the nitty gritty all clear.. I text back "dds hair all clear. Best of luck treating your dd". Read n reply. Aibu to be seriously pissed off & where do we go from here. My dd is not the culprit!

OMG! Are you always looking for a fight with the parents of your DD's friends OP, or is it just this woman that you've taken a dislike to?

You could get really random and offer her a trial bottle of whatever is working for your DD, "here thingy, I got you a bottle of this magic potion, it's working for my DD, why don't you try it? "

Refer her to the school nurse or headmistress/master she doesn't seem to understand the need to treat it regularly for sometime as one egg left can start the cycle again. Tell her to rinse her hair once a week with 1/2 vinegar & water too.

I remember speaking to all of my son’s friends parents at school pick up once, as school message was not getting through… I was sick of treating him.

One parent said oh but my child couldn’t have them… I asked did he walk round with a bubble on his head? I’d been treating my kid to a £10 bottle of lice treatment for each of the last 6 weeks so if we all did it on same weekend we might just succeed. it worked and I’m pretty sure who culprit was … they were nice people just oblivious

so tell her to tell all of the girls in one go or shut up 😂
