Rod Stewart’s glad to see the back of him anyway 😂

Sir Rod, you’ve forgotten the ggggggg.

Honestly, Greggggg being a creep is the least surprising news ever. Suspect surprises nobody who’s ever met him.

I absolutely hate this show and it's on every night of the week, year after year.

Should have "Best before 2006" running across the bottom of the screen.

It's not on every night of the week. Other channels are available.

That's a separate point, isn't it? That there are other channels. Indeed there are and I make use of them. It doesn't stop me noticing how often the show is on, though.

Yeah, a few off colour remarks/jokes to grown women has caused some sort of meltdown.

ok then, 🙄

Not just comments that should have died with the dinosaurs. Its grabbing a member of the crews head and shoving it towards his crotch and thrusting when she was cleaning a stain from his clothes. Its coming out wearing just a sock on his crotch, walking round topless and telling young female staff he isn’t wearing pants under his clothes (as reported in various news outlets). Who want to put up with that at work?! He is an old pig! Am waiting for the sexts and dickpics to be leaked 🤮

beeeeeeez · 28/11/2024 17:14

Eraserbread, thank you for that!
I love it more than is reasonable.

Mittens67 · 28/11/2024 17:19

I said a scandal would come out up thread. Wish I had put money on it!
Hope he gets his due at last. Nasty old perv.

BringMeTea · 28/11/2024 17:21

Lol at all the sad men on here getting all discombobulated that one of their ilk has finally got what he richly deserves. Yes, it's all the 'woke wimmin's' fault eh? 😁

PickAChew · 28/11/2024 17:22

Greggs should sue him for sullying their name.

Thevelvelletes · 28/11/2024 17:22

What's the pudding eating fucker been up to?

RedToothBrush · 28/11/2024 17:22

Thirteen separate people complaining as far back as at least 2011?!

I mean I'm not surprised by the revelation. I am surprised and disappointed it's taken the BBC THIS LONG to actually get rid of him.

I mean 13 YEARS. Come on.

sharpclawedkitten · 28/11/2024 16:20

I don't like sexualised jokes, they are unpleasant and childish.

However, I would tell the person concerned.

Rather than moaning to the media years later.

I also wonder why people on the production team didn't tell him to put a sock in it.

Edited

If the person making the comments was the top talent who had power over you and your career or if a contestant, power over your opportunity? The big issue with many of the abuses of power in media is the power imbalance and the way in which "Talent" can abuse those around them with impunity.

The pressure on the lucky recipients of this type of attention to keep quiet is huge.

I used to love Masterchef when Lloyd Grossman was on it - when dinosaurs roamed the earth!

People mocked him (he had a very noticeable New England accent) but it was so much more civilised than with these 2 loud, loutish and irritating geezers.

Why do the BBC get it so wrong all the time? They find certain people and plaster them all over our screens, seemingly regardless of whether anyone actually likes them. I've come to the conclusion that BBC people live in a metropolitan media bubble and have limited contact with reality.

There are so many ubiquitous faces on the telly I'd like to pension off. They certainly put me off watching the shows they're on, whether I'm interested in the subject matter or not.

I want to know this too!

I'm convinced he kept his job this long to make all other baldy middle aged men feel better about themselves.

EmotionalSupportPotato · 28/11/2024 17:23

ColinOfficeTrolley · 20/11/2024 20:37

Haha. I don't think he does much on 'The Professionals' version.

I do prefer Monica and Marcus to John and Greg.

He just gurns

EmotionalSupportPotato · 28/11/2024 17:24

gaggiagirl · 20/11/2024 20:42

Horrible man. I'm still getting over his 'typical Saturday'

Oh that was ABSURD

Don't tar all bald men with the same brush!

I would completely enjoy Inside the Factory if Gregg's voice could be dubbed by someone more soothing like Mark Rylance or Nigel Slater, so you'd get all the fun of the machines and the individual wrapping arms and the big stirring whisks, but without the frenetic 'SO SONJA YOU'RE IN CHARGE OF CHOCOLATE FINGERING HAHAHAHAHAAHAAAAA' and more '... and now one tonne of milk chocolate is being poured into the mixture.'

I cannot stand him in the factory. It's a shame as its a fun programme

YesterdaysFuture · 28/11/2024 17:32

The problem with the BBC is that they basically say that they sacked him for making some sexualised comments, which I think is a bit excessive, but they don't say about all the other allegations which are sackable offences.

Why do the BBC keep downplaying the serious stuff? Is it because they didn't want it known what they allowed him to get away with for years?

Lancasterel · 28/11/2024 17:34

OVienna · 28/11/2024 13:26

It's always a quarter final. Endless quarter final episode. Has anyone else noticed that?!

And also they have Knockout Week, which I don’t understand as someone is knocked out every episode 🤷‍♀️ do love Professional Masterchef though.

GettingStuffed · 28/11/2024 17:39

I don't like it bit IIRC he was supposed to be the ingredient specialist originally

IVFmumoftwo · 28/11/2024 17:27

I'm saying that Gregg was employed to make them feel better!

the80sweregreat · 28/11/2024 18:08

Sir Rod Stewart's x statement tonight was funny !
Karma indeed, but it took ages to get him
