I agree. I find it a bit reprehensible when people in the same industry as him suddenly become very vocal. Is this because they want to save their own skin in a very public way? I ask this because if it was me I wouldn't be posting my experience on social media I would contribute to the investigation by telling the investigators. Every single person is entitled to the dignity of a proper investigation. It is one thing to express disgust with his actions, but the hateful tone of the pile-on is almost as bad as his initial misconduct.

Really? You have more problem with women describing what happened to them than the acts and words themselves?

Bear in mind that many of these women had already gone through "the process" and it had been brushed under the carpet or at most Wallace was give a finger wag talk which made no difference to his actual behaviour.

Good on them for speaking out. It might protect some of the next women to come into his ghastly proximity.

Lisa Faulkner reposted a statement from John on her Instagram a couple of days ago and he didn't say he'd complained, it was along the lines that he would be very upset if people didn't have an amazing time on the show and he wasn't saying anything else until the investigation was complete.

But that's not what I was referring to 🤷🏼‍♀️

I'm sorry but I'm really with C8H10N4O2 on this.

This has gone on for well over a decade and I know people who have had to deal with similar conduct whilst working in media and the culture of misogny really was one of the things that stopped me pursuing a similiar career.

So I really don't give a fuck if people don't like the tone. Its about bloody time women got angry about this and said how unacceptable it is.

I will also remind people the wonderful Bewilderness's Rules of Misogny
https://4w.pub/the-rules-of-misogyny/

2. Women saying no to men is a hate crime.

3. Women speaking for themselves are exclusionary and selfish.

12. Women’s ability to recognize male behavior patterns is misandry.

13. Angry women are crazy. Angry men have trouble expressing themselves.

14. Women have all the rights they need: The right to remain silent.

Anyone tone policing can do one on the basis of the above.

Country's falling apart with crumbling infrastructure, waging wars we can't afford, pensioners who are living too long so we have to freeze them, rife crime, a growing illegal population we get no tax from and cannot keep tabs on... but one thing we do do well is a good media-fuelled lynch mob over etiquette breaches. Yay for us.

"Etiquette breaches"????

Seriously!??

So let's get this straight - you think that because there are other more seismic events going on in the world, this grubby little misogynist should be allowed to continue his disgusting behaviour?

Righttttt...

PS When did we start freezing pensioners???!!

Spot on. What's rife crime @Swivelhead ?

Swivelhead · 07/12/2024 13:41

Which word confuses you? Rife? Or crime?

The syntax of the sentence.

Not sure if you're obtuse or genuinely dense, but I'll leave you in puzzlement.

I don't think you understood the point I was making. Never mind.

I have always made a stand against misogyny and supported other women in the workplace. SM pile-ons are here today gone tomorrow. They are often about people wanting to look as though they are being brave and sticking their necks out. Pile-ons rarely bring about real change.
