Oh that’s so kind @Imbluedalale and the recipe looks delicious, thank you! Probably nicer than lasagne and so much easier! I’m definitely doing this at some point next week if we don’t have it tomorrow.

That’s ok @Meanwhile33 and it’s sooo easy to make . My kids love it with garlic bread. Proper stodgy filling meal. Your meal plan sounds lovely and I’m sure it will go down a treat xx

@Imbluedalale I have catering packs of spaghetti that were given to my son by someone he lived with who was a chef.
Safe to say the stock is not getting smaller, I will try that spaghetti dish!!

Good evening spoonies and @Imbluedalale I was woken by the rain battering the window at 5am and got up around 6am as I was wide awake. I enjoyed the sparkling Christmas tree I put up yesterday before everyone else got up. I never do it this early but I just felt like it!
I was thinking of @BeNavyCrab on the boat in the storm. We're you affected?
We had roast chicken today as partner on night-shift tomorrow. My niece was here too and has just gone with my son to stay with Mum. Thank you Mum!! I feel the tension falling from my shoulders 😂

Ohhh I love spaghetti especially spaghetti bake. I have stopped paying the council tax on my old home now and just setting up the bills for my new home.
My mum and dad have been today which has been lovely . My dad’s been putting up light fittings , pictures and he built my bathroom cabinet and put my shower curtain on so it’s looking more and more homely . However my daughter’s feathery light shade she picked for her bedroom resembles a chickens backside !

Ohhh what have you painted today? I wish I could paint , I used to watch a program on tv of this guy painting I think he was called Bob and it was amazing what he could do with a blank canvas.
Your pasta sounds delicious, have you had it yet?
My ex MIL does cook for my children when she’s making something as her daughter and family are there too but my daughter mainly makes things as she enjoys it . She makes the boys fajitas , wraps , pasta dishes things like that. I can’t wait to cook for them xx

Your tree looks absolutely gorgeous! I’m still unsure about a tree this year but I have put a few decs up in the kitchen . I think I might just get a mini tree for this year .
How was your roast?
My mum fetched me some shopping bless her and I’m glad to say I’ve now got a huge jar of coffee and hot chocolate.
I had a bowl of sugar puffs for my dinner 😂. Well they’re not sugar puffs anymore they are called ‘wheat puffs’ which don’t sound as appetizing. If you say to a kid do you want a sugar puff or a wheat puff which one do you think they’d go for? My mum was telling me they had to change the name as it contained the word ‘sugar’. Which got me thinking about things they say about food. Did you know that a snickers bar says on it ‘may contain nuts’ errr really? Thanks for that Bob I didn’t know! xx

Hi@Imbluedalale my day has been good thanks, we went to see my mum then we lit the fire and watched the latest ep of Outlander... it was as good as ever!
Cooked a chicken cassrole in the instant pot and now just browsing looking for Christmas inspiration, I'll be happy once I've come up with an idea for my mum!!

Sounds like the house is getting sorted, would love to see pics, we need one of the lampshade at least😂

@Imbluedalale I'm just really enjoying the quiet and not being on butler duty to my son 😂 Roast was lovely and I'm settled with a cup of tea now. Good idea on a small tree. You can build it up year by year and it will all be yours attached to happy memories. Yes I had a good idea about sugar puffs. Not sure it means there's any less sugar! I don't buy any of the good stuff kids want 😂

What kind of things does your mum like?
I’ll add some pics but don’t mind the table cloth I washed it and it needs ironing which I’ll do tomorrow and I’ll add the chicken bum. It’s a good job the lightbulbs don’t get hot that’s all I will say xx

Ive already got a few lovely decorations for my tree and a few Christmassy bits so will see in a week or 2 about getting a small tree.
I haven’t had sugar puffs for years but I saw them in Morrisons other day and I really fancied them. They didn’t disappoint xx

What do you think of the light shade? 😂Awful isn’t it . I wouldn’t be able to have it in my bedroom as I sleep with my mouth open and I’d end up choking on the feathers that randomly fall out xx

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣It’s definitely like marmite you either love it or hate it . It was really tricky to do Aswell me , my mum and dad ended up looking like chickens ourselves covered in feathers xx

@Imbluedalale the lampshade is so bad it's good 😂 table looks well at home. I love it. I didn't get curious and turn to Google! If anyone is curious, Queen Spoonie was on a thread about Penis sleeves. She then turned to the font of all knowledge Google and almost threw up her ham.......I said I don't think I'm at all curious now 😂

Yes, Mocha is a mixture of coffee and chocolate but not sure of the proportion. Trial and error really as some like it more coffee or more chocolate.
When I was a child (a very long time ago, about 55 years) my mum used to bake cakes on a Sunday and one of my fav was a mocha sponge sandwich cake with chocolate butter cream.
As long as your daughter likes her lampshade, that’s the main thing, but I agree I wouldn’t want it. Don’t tell your daughter you don’t like it though, better to keep the peace 🤣🤣

Oh it’s a terrible light shade! My daughter loves it, she’s also got matching lamp! I said to her I don’t know what’s aesthetic about that.
Definitely don’t google it but the thread did make me laugh 🤭 . I wish I could turn back time and not know what a penis sleeve is. It actually looks like @ChoccieCornflake ‘s Spiraliser . It looks more like a kitchen appliance that you’d use for mash rather then a bedroom appliance xx

Thank you @spoonfulofmustard it’s getting there . I love my kitchen it’s my little sanctuary. I need to get blinds for all the windows but that can wait a while will get kitchen one done first though when I can. I’m looking forward to having my flooring put down too.
I’ve seen a chicken lamp to go with the chicken butt! It’s equally as awful and I won’t be ordering it. I wonder if the person who designed it thought ‘now where shall we put the lightbulb? I know that’s have it coming out the chickens butt’ xx

stop!! i would buy that 🤣🤣🤣🤣 i think its hilarious- but what always saves me is that it provide enough light to actually read by so i stay wit my normal boring lamp. For blinds i used blinds2go and they were brillliant, others will hage their own recommendations as well, just so happy youre happy, and remember we're all still here for the downs xxxx

I used Hillary’s once at old home but they was very expensive and no word of a lie but the blind man was actually blind! It was fascinating watching him at work . I’ll have a look at blinds to go , thank you .
I am happy that I’ve got a home and I’m enjoying making it into a home but a big part of me is still missing and that’s my children xx
