I had to download a messaging app today and my dp has this app on another seperate phone he has. His contact came up on this app once I'd downloaded it but I don't understand why he has some woman's picture on his profile pic haven't a clue who it is and why. Would you find this odd.

I don't recognise her as anybody famous she looks like she's on holiday in one pic and sitting in her kitchen in another

Yes, and I would automatically think that he was cheating with someone who's already in a relationship, so it looks like she's talking to a friend (been on the recieving end of that so maybe my paranoia speaking).

Obviously totally dependent on your relationship though, how are things generally.

I’d be worrying and thinking the worst - that he may be posing as a woman to talk to other people/men/children, what app is it, have you asked him?

No haven't asked I just can't get my head around as to why somebody would have a random person's picture on thier profile

In your shoes, I would just straight out ask him, bluntly, face to face.
But I’m very confrontational and I can’t stew over something and let it play on my mind.
Alarm bells would go off for me that he kept his old phone and clearly still uses it.

Put the photo on google image, screen shot the photo on your phone and download the google app and it will show you if the pic is elsewhere

Does he definitely use the old phone and app? It might be an old account with a random pic or an ex he's forgot about? Does it show when it was last active? You could send him a GIF or something see if it sends or he gets it? And say you were testing it out xxxx

He does use old phone I believe and it's says active within 1 week

If the other phone is an old number he no longer uses the service provider may have passed it on to someone else. This happened to my old number, the WhatsApp changed to someone else's picture after a while.

What does he use the old phone for? (As far as you know) could you somehow send a message from an unfamiliar number and see if he responds?* (Might be a bad idea, but in my experience I needed proof that my ex was up to no good as I knew I'd never get the truth from him directly)

He does use the old phone to sometimes call relatives overseas and he occasionally asks me to top it up with credit

Just ask him outright and see what he says. Just say you downloaded the app and ask why he's got 2 accounts or just say oh you have 2 accounts on it xxxxxx
