I had to download a messaging app today and my dp has this app on another seperate phone he has. His contact came up on this app once I'd downloaded it but I don't understand why he has some woman's picture on his profile pic haven't a clue who it is and why. Would you find this odd.

Dunno if im being a bit thick here. But why would he have another phone to ring overseas, he has to top up (which costs a fortune)Am I missing something?
Edited to ask- Does the 'Dave Lyca ' mobile have the sane number as his usual one? Did he buy the Dave lyca from someone else? Ie- those pics were already there. Is your DH actually called Dave?🥴

i used to use a few chat apps, one day I got speaking to a man, who then mid conversation chaged all his info to now say he was a woman, he then changed his pic to a woman as well.

He didn't realise if he was already chatting to someone they could see these changes..

Asked him why he was pretending to be a woman and he said it was a great way for him to get nudes.. Asked him how and he said all he has to do is pretend to be a lesbian, then he gets nudes from 'other' lesbians. i then blocked him.

Could be something like that?

If its whatsapp, his name will be whatever he sets it as in his phone, but on the other persons phone it comes up as whatever they have saved it as.

So for example on my phone I have my hobby buddies in my the group saved as "Martin Running" "Jane Running" etc. as that is what they are in my contacts list. But they may be "Martin Parkrun" "Jane Parkrun" in someone elses. So the other person (I agree it sounds vv dodgy) could have your DH saved as "Jane Work" for example.

It doesn't look good but their identity will be concealed. Your only hope is finding messages between them, but one thing you do know is this person has corborated with him in this deception.

It says "Dave's Luca mobile" presumably because that's what he's saved as in your phone?

Can you be more specific here OP? Is this app WhatsApp or something else?

Just a fake profile to be on telegram with. Telegram has such a poor right wing profile that he’d not want to use his real details . What work makes you download telegram? Journalist?

Sometimes you get forced onto telegram because you have to join for a specific event group. I had to join to be in a group for a sports event for DS- it was the only way to get the noticeboard updates during the event. I noticed my sister is on there too. She doesn't use social media, so I assume the same thing happened to her.

Was this because you were suspicious because you knew he used Telegram, and given its dodgy reputation, thought he was up to something? Or was it some totally unrelated reason?

The same thing happened to my sister - she had a random man’s picture as her profile picture on her email and had no idea! I sent her screenshots as she couldn’t see it herself. Don’t immediately leap to something fishy OP as honestly these things can happen and this isn’t a typical sign of cheating.

Telegram is used by lots of people. Some people don’t like the idea of Watsap having control of their messages - which they do. I know plenty of professional people who have telegram.

You get a notification when people on your contact list join.

So your partner might already be aware you have joined.

He has uploaded 2 profile pictures of a woman.

Id bet he is pretending to be her.
