or just naive to think that women wouldn't stoop so low as to offer their dh a blow job in exchange for a new pair of shoes.

Cod claims they do

Anorak are you being serious?

Blu · 24/04/2008 13:18

well, after Artichokes 'bag# thread here the other day, I asked DP what he thought she should do..given that the DH was so pleased with himself - would it make the man upset if she suggested taking it back.

He said "she should be very appreciative and grateful, and then explain, then they should have a nice day out, go to the bag shop together and she could show him what sort of bag she really likes, and then she should give him a nice treat, buy him an ice cream"

Then he quickly added "and take him home for a really good shag. With a blow job"

I pointed out that she had bad morning sickness and might feel a bit unenthusiastic about the blow job. He thought for a moment and said

"oh yes, if she's feeling ill...she should go on iTunes and make him a really nice playlist. And promise a blow job for when she is feeling better"

I think that explains the bartering system that lurks in the male psyche pretty well.

(except I thik the sex and itunes was to make him feel not rejected like the bag - rather than as payment for it. Subtle difference)

It is not a bargaining tool in this house but it is a bit of banter "well you can work them off in the bedroom" type thing. DH would never stop me getting a pair of shoes or whatever, in fact he couldn't I control the finances cause he is rubbish but it is done in a bit of a jokey manner here.

LOL @ mascara and cd's price list!

Yes it would be distasteful if it were a serious trade. But it's quite funny if you do it lightheartedly ie 'Go on buy me those shoes, I'll make it worth your while' wink wink.

It's just joke in our house, I'd still want to love my husband up and he'd totally expect me to buy shoes if I wanted them.

I suppose if it were a serious thing it would be quite nasty really.

scottishmummy · 24/04/2008 13:20

cod probably claims the world is flat just to get a laugh.anyhow what a mouthful just for shoes

CountessDracula · 24/04/2008 13:20

I find it is only effective if I do it to the manager in Clark's

blow job for shoes evidence 1

policywonk · 24/04/2008 13:22

I suppose it's all in the intent, and it's difficult to tell from the outside whether these things are genuinely reciprocal jokes or unspeakably tacky and exploitative.

I would find any relationship in which the woman had to ask the man's permission to make a clothing purchase a bit questionable, tbh, unless she had previous for being untrustworthy with money.

I remember a woman on here saying that she gave her DH blowjobs in exchange for new washable nappies because she loves 'em so much (nappies that is).

Blu · 24/04/2008 13:22

MP - would it work in the Birkenstock shop? It's very crowded in the Covent Gdn branch.

girlfrommars · 24/04/2008 13:23

MP

Or to nick Little Lapin's post from a pervious thread,

jesuswhatnext · 24/04/2008 13:23

re 'the price list' - the car has not yet been invented that would induce me to offer a 'shag up the arse'!

Blu · 24/04/2008 13:24

girlfrommars - is that row of emoticons a BJ animation?

It's very good.

Jesus - well, CD is always telling us that her car is old and scruffy.

IorekByrnison · 24/04/2008 13:25

roffle blu and mp.

girlfrommars · 24/04/2008 13:25

It's Lapin's Blu, but I think hers was better

Hassled · 24/04/2008 13:26

I don't get it - if I need shoes, I establish whether we can afford them (online banking etc) and then I buy them. DH will then completely fail to notice the new shoes. It's not something that's up for either discussion or fellatio.

And what would the reverse scenario be? I can't think of an equivalent - "I'll go down on you if you let me buy a new fishing rod ".

beaniesteve · 24/04/2008 13:26

I don't need to. I give a blow Job because I like to return the favour sometimes. I buy my own shoes.

CountessDracula · 24/04/2008 13:26

you know if dh said "go on I'll muff dive you if you cook the supper" or similar I would tell him to eff off
