That’s just it really. I really need a cuddle but that’s not possible so can anybody just support me right now? My mental health is on the floor right now I’ve never felt as low it’s making me feel so ill

Blimey, go you!!! Well done on ringing the MP!!

Munchyseeds2 · 01/11/2024 13:00

If they can't find anywhere suitable in terms of safety AND access then you have to be strong and refuse to leave where you are.....they have emergency budgets that they can use!! Xx

I'm sorry that you aren't feeling great today but I'm not surprised at all, hang in there, eat/ drink what you can....

I think I would start contacting people....just to make sure they don't conveniently forget you on a Friday....

The robot hoover thing makes me giggle! I had one for a short while and loved it....then I had the idea to try the mopping function, let's just say it didn't end well....due to the fact that I may have had a 'moment' and put the water in the wrong place😂😂

Thank you Munchyseeds2
I’m trying to hang on , I’ve just rang the MP to chase it up .
My mental health team have just rang Aswell to see if I’ve heard anything and they said they are going to call the council too.

The council are going to absolutely hate me! Im
going to be blacklisted from them after this . My council tax bill is going to be sky high!

Lol 😂 wish I had been a fly on the wall to see your mopping disaster xx

You are flipping awesome!! You have made more scary calls in a day than I manage in weeks! I bloody hate calling people!

ChoccieCornflake · 01/11/2024 12:59

Well done - keep on keeping on!! Today is definitely the day for being the squeaky wheel. I would be calling your support worker on the dot of 4pm if you've not heard anything by then. Other people on this thread are probably better placed to advise if it's also worth contacting anyone else too.

Have more tea, if you're able. That hoover sounds terrifying, I'd not be a fan of that! Nor the walking fridge!

Thank you ChoccieCornflake,
Im squeaking the wheel!
If I don’t hear anything I will be chasing it up again in a few hours .
Wouldn’t want an hoover robot nor a walking fridge but wouldn’t mind a walking biscuit tin xx

My mopping disaster was funny, but boy, I felt stupid when I realised what I'd done!!

Don't give a thought to what they think of you, all they have to do is do their job properly!!

Ruralretreating · 01/11/2024 13:07

Our posts crossed again @Imbluedalale ! Well done for ringing MP. Also huge well done caseworker Dawn for being on it and chasing it!

Ruralretreating · 01/11/2024 13:08

Walking biscuit tin! That’s so funny, I’m dying of laughter and definitely want one!

Our posts crossed. Glad support worker is on it. Has she spoken to MP office as well? I’d still contact MP office and ask where they got to, and what they are expecting from council in terms of next steps.

I’d also ask support worker if she is willing to see if council might be able to come back any earlier than 3-4, as it’s affecting your mental and physical health, especially after what happened on Tuesday. Maybe she could just call them at 2.

You want to avoid them trying to bounce you into something unsuitable late in the day.

Am also going to PM you.

I rang MP office myself . I was petrified!
But I’m glad I did because she said she will chase it up with them within an hour .
Hopefully with my support worker ringing them today and my mental health team and the MP’s office , hopefully they will want to sort something suitable out to get rid of me xx

I know the next few hours will be stressful, I know you feel poorly but I want you to acknowledge how far you have come in just a few days, from being completely disempowered to having the confidence to call
your MP. I know you’ve had some support on here but that drive has come from you.
Fingers crossed you get somewhere suitable sorted today, OP.
(I have just used the tea bag trick ✔️✔️✔️✔️)

So if what they provide me isn’t suitable for my needs I should refuse it and stay here? What if the hotel calls the police on me?xx

You are doing fab!!

A walking biscuit tin would be amazing - poor little thing would walk its legs off coming every time I called it!!

Did you get water everywhere?
I worry too much what people think of me , I still feel bad from when the manager of the homeless team rang me other day and was very stern with me . But your right I’m too far in to give up with them now xx

If they offer you something unsuitable, you call every person you can including the MP to let them know as it means the council are not listening to and working with the MP and professionals.
Hopefully it won’t come to that.

That’s so lovely of you to say .
BUT I wouldn’t have had the confidence to call if it wasn’t for all of you on here .
Let me know what you think of the tea bag trick , I use it every time I need something scrubbing xx

Thank you to each and everyone of you that has made this happen , there isn’t enough thankyou’s in the world to express my gratitude 🙏 xxxxx
