To cut the front piece of my hair off? With pics

More noticeable when I’ve used a headband but I have an uneven hairline.

I’m tempted to just cut off that small piece at the front. But realise I’ll have to keep cutting it forever or I’ll have a tuff.

Help please before I grab the scissors.

You’ve got a mini widow’s peak, don’t cut it off it looks fine and will grow back tufty!

ExquisiteEmelda · 19/09/2024 15:28

Leave it alone, you’ll regret it forever when you have a permanent spiky bit 🤣😆

Edited to say there’s nothing wrong with your hairline.

Ineffable23 · 19/09/2024 15:29

Isnt that just a fairly normal hairline? I thought that was just what happened with hair if you have a heart shaped face?

Seas164 · 19/09/2024 15:30

Noooo, no no no. Don't do it. The growing out phase is painful in any hair cut situation but you do not want to be known as tufty for the awkward stage, it would be bad enough.

Stop! Don't cut it! It will look bizarre and drive you crackers! Nobody is looking that closely to your hairline apart from you!!

Chocolatecookiesandtea · 19/09/2024 15:33

Don’t cut it ! Itll
be spiky. If you have to then pluck it but I really wouldn’t

madamura · 19/09/2024 15:34

Sorry maybe I wasn’t clear - there won’t be a growing out stage as I plan on keeping it gone foreverrrrr

It’s never ever grown longer than this and it just bugs me.

No no just get a fringe instead 😉

Thistooshallpass24 · 19/09/2024 15:34

Honestly, I probably would. It's straggly, if it doesn't catch into the rest of your hair and is always just that length then, unless you want to cut in a fringe (go get it down properly if you've never done it cos it can so easily look shit), I'd just get rid and keep it gone.

The back of my hairline is wonky and when I have my hair cut short I just get the extra bit shaved off. It's just hair.

StormingNorman · 19/09/2024 15:39

A widow’s peak is normal. I don’t even notice whether people have them or not.

lightsandtunnels · 19/09/2024 15:40

Oh my goodness no. It will look awful and you'll probably regret it instantly! You'll have a little tufty bit sticking out. I would think about having a long fringe cut in that falls to the side. Maybe visit a hairdresser for some ideas so you can actually change your hairstyle to something more flattering that doesn't draw attention to your hairline (which I think looks absolutely normal and not weird at all btw!)

No don’t do this 😭. Even if you keep cutting it, you’ll always have a little spiky/stubbly bit. It will look ridiculous.

HappyDane · 19/09/2024 15:44

It will look very silly. Don't do it. Lots of people have them and no one cares one bit.

Dolliesdisasterousdayout · 19/09/2024 15:44

I bet that no one but you notices it.

coolkatt · 19/09/2024 15:46

DONT DO IT!!!!!
My 12 year old just did this it's just a tuft in otherwise lovely hair, been growing back for over a yr it looks ridiculous u will regret it majorly!!!!!!

catcheeks · 19/09/2024 15:48

I have the exact same, it bothers me as well. I used to pluck it out. Now I’m trying to just live with it as-is. My husband thinks it’s cute 🤷🏻‍♀️

usernother · 19/09/2024 15:48

It will look daft if you cut it right down. It will be spiky even if it grows a milimetre. I can't believe you've got to your age and not realised you have a widow's peak.

Button28384738 · 19/09/2024 15:50

No don't or you'll get a weird tufty bit growing out . It's hardly noticeable at all anyway, you're probably really self conscious of it but most people won't even notice

moreshitandnofuckingredemption · 19/09/2024 15:51

Don't do it

HappyDane · 19/09/2024 15:51

If it really bothers you I guess you could look into permanent hair removal. But it's a lot cheaper just to make your peace with it!

madamura · 19/09/2024 16:02

Dolliesdisasterousdayout · 19/09/2024 15:44

I bet that no one but you notices it.

Firstly that’s true of many things of many people. We’re the ones looking in the mirror so yes we do tend to notice things others would not.

I don’t do things to my appearance for anyone but me. I don’t care if others notice it or not. I notice it and it bugs me.
