Has anyone else got the email being invited to the ballot for the new dates?

How old are they? Need an adult with them and the ballot is only for two tickets

They'll by 20 and 18 by the time of the concert, so no worries there

Ah you're grand then, good luck!

Baffy · 08/09/2024 11:13

No confirmation email yet here but fingers crossed. 2 is a joke though, queued 5 hours on Saturday for 4!

I just got my confirmation email about 40 mins after completing the form

What form?

Morph22010 · 08/09/2024 11:29

Daisydaisydaizee · 08/09/2024 11:27

What form?

The first email takes you to a form to complete and answer a question, you then get a second email which can be a few hours later with a link to click on to join the ballot

Mebfl · 08/09/2024 11:32

Evenstar · 08/09/2024 08:22

@Mebfl if you registered for the previous ticket ballot they would have your email address from that I think, even if you didn’t get a code last time. It looked like the same page I got before.

That’s the thing - I didn’t .. I only took a punt last Saturday morning and logged into ticketmaster at 7.55 am to see how I got on !

Didimum · 08/09/2024 10:45

That creates its own unfairness though in being more accessible to those who don’t have to work that day/can take annual leave easier/don’t have kids to sort etc.

I would have those issues too but it still seems fairer to me. I live in an apparent ‘hotspot’ where people couldn’t even get onto the site, so even with work/ kids sorted I had zero chance. Technology is great when it works.

mrshoho · 08/09/2024 11:42

Finally got the confirmation email so first hoop jumped through. Next hoop will be wait to see if I get another email with a code that should arrive no later than 9pm 13th September. If I get a code then third hoop will be logging on to ticketmaster I assume next Saturday and queuing to enter a fecking lobby to wait to buy the tickets. I should know better but here goes.

Inastatus · 08/09/2024 11:53

No email here for me or DS despite trying the first ballot and both of us queuing for hours last Saturday ☹️

MaddieElla · 08/09/2024 12:01

I was being patient waiting for my email confirmation but I've just seen on TikTok several videos where they get the "you're confirmed" after they've looked at the Ts and Cs. I didn't get that. Others have said they didn't seem to get a confirmation so I wasn't too worried but now I've seen these videos I'm thinking something is wrong somewhere.

3 hours and no email.

Online access is far from perfect but it’s much fairer than in-person queuing, because a virtual queue is accessible to almost everyone. When in person queuing would likely mean overnights, unprecedented amounts of bodies etc, you’d need things like security and safety measures, possibly police involvement, which is a terrible waste of public resources.

A ballot system from the start was likely the better idea, but hindsight is 20/20 – knowing how demand would exactly impact the limitations of the website’s servers was either not fully known or not fully thought through.

Me, although I'm not sure that I got the year right! 😳 We actually already have tickets for Wembley, but we wanted to go to Manchester with friends, thought I'd go through the process anyway and see what happens...

🙄

I didn’t look at the t&cs. My confirmation took 2.5hrs and I registered at 7:45am. It seems to take longer the later you registered, presumably because it’s a Sunday and people are accessing their emails later morning so backlog is building up.

You'll get confirmation soon. Mine took a good few hours.

But not everybody that 'qualifies' for the ballot has been given the opportunity which is utterly bizarre. Seems like there's a ballot for the ballot.

Daisydaisydaizee · 08/09/2024 12:13

Thank you @Morph22010 . I didnt get the ballot email. I was in queue for 7 hours, not sure why I did not ger it.

MaddieElla · 08/09/2024 12:13

@Didimum But did you get the "you're confirmed" message or "nearly there"

twilightermummy · 08/09/2024 12:17

I've filled out the form but not received the confirmation email yet. Did everyone eventually get them?

I just checked. Think mine took around 2 hours.

Thank you. Fingers crossed!

mrshoho · 08/09/2024 12:21

For the people who didn't get an email despite queuing and being signed in to their ticketmaster account last week. Did you get to the stage where you got onto the site and selected the date and venue? It seems that if you were in the queue waiting to get on to ticket master then this wouldn't count. So unfair that not everyone has been emailed.
