Has anyone else got the email being invited to the ballot for the new dates?

Also now feeling relieved I didn't get a code.
Have too much to do today.

And booked a couple of smaller venue shows at much more sensible prices to see bands/musicians who are amazing and talented and not just in it for the huge payday.

For those who are gutted about not getting code or no tickets honestly give it till next year and all the prats that greedly scooped up a load of tickets in hope of making £££ off fans will be selling them off for face value closer to the dates your better off holding off till then with likes of twickets who are a legit company and only sell at face value or less not more so those that paid £350 plus for £150 tickets won't get more than £150 or less.

I will be doing that myself come next year for Cardiff dates and as others have pointed out this could go either way they may have a spat and call the whole thing off or the shows could be completely awful because of the tension and lack of chemistry between the two that it would feel better sitting watching paint dry with a CD on in the background.

Interesting - no queue to get onto Ticketmaster website.

There is a message saying
Latest Updates
09:08 AM
UPDATE: Standing and £74.45 tickets in the 08:30 sale for Saturday 27 September are no longer available. There are currently more ticket options for the Sunday show, you can join the queue

Twitter is quiet. Not much drama (this is good).

I do note complaints about September shows already being on resellers.

And people trying to sell lots of X3 tickets and X4 tickets for shows you could only buy pairs of tickets for.

But otherwise this is, so far, looking like a much better way to do things.

Will be interesting to see if people complain at 10am about having not got tickets.

will you be trying for tix?

Got my tickets at 12:11 was very easy to get them with the ballot.

In view of no luck with tickets I'm looking at going to see some Oasis tribute bands. I love the songs and some of the performers are brilliant and very entertaining.
I'll also keep an eye on any reasonable resale too.

I got mine as well. The website was a bit slow when choosing seats but it was much, much easier than the first time round!

I even did it on 5G as I was at an extra curricular with my kids. I’m annoyed it was restricted to two tickets as I’m going to go with my sister and the husbands will miss out, but it’s better than nothing as many have found themselves with.

RedToothBrush · 14/09/2024 17:12

Hmmm. The ballot sales have closed. There are currently no tickets available.

However....

....this looks very much like there are unsold Sunday tickets in the system which will have to be released at some point.

I'm curious.

Also it doesn't appear like they even tried dynamic pricing this time around, which is interesting in itself . Could be wrong but I've not seen anything to suggest they did.

There's either an admission of guilt in there, there are clearly legal issues they didn't want legal liability exposure to it and/or the band were not terribly happy at dynamic pricing and the pr from it.

Interesting.

I was amazed how easy it was today. I had a 3.30 slot and had two tickets in 10 minutes! Why couldn’t they have done that before?!

They should have and I reserve the right to say 'i told you so' over it!!!

It's not a particularly novel idea. U2 have had two fan pools for twenty odd years, before they go on general sale.

I think Ticketmaster probably shot themselves in the shoot because I do think dynamic pricing is going to be difficult to justify again...

BrutusMcDogface · 14/09/2024 19:29

What were the prices, if you don’t mind me asking?

I paid £104 per ticket, or £106. Something like that.
