Am I the only person who would rather stick pins in my eyes than go to an Oasis concert?

I do not understand why there has been so many threads from people along similar lines, surely we are all adults and understand we appreciate different things?

I quite like some of their songs & would see them in concert but can’t be bothered to try & get a ticket, same for Taylor Swift. If others do, it’s their time & money.

Op there are at least 3 threads about this. Don’t like Oasis? That’s perfectly fine, don’t get tickets. Plenty of people are pleased about this and they should be allowed to enjoy things without having a new thread every day from someone declaring how disinterested they are in the Oasis reunion.

It’s tiresome.

Has something happened where people are being forced to buy tickets? Do people understand concerts aren’t compulsory?

I am finding the almost blanket coverage of the concerts quite tiresome. I haven’t read any anti posts on here?

I am entitled to not like them as much as you are to like them.

I could say the same about hundreds of bands, probably thousands. I can’t see any point in starting a thread about it, though. Why is it remarkable that people like different things? Love what you love, let other people get on with loving what they love. Spend time doing what makes you happy, not dwelling on things you don’t like. You’ll never make the world look just the way you want it, so choose the bits you want and ignore the rest.

I have started a thread as that’s why the forum exists.
theres no need for all this hostility. It’s just an opinion as the bloody internet is full of how wonderful they are.

For every thread about not liking them there’s a gazillion social media posts about queues for tickets.

There are multiple threads on here from equally original ops telling us they don’t like Oasis. Btw I’m not even arsed and didn’t try to get tickets because I find gigs too expensive. I’m just aware of the concept of people liking different things and I’m pleased for genuine fans who thought they’d never get the chance to see them again.

Like I said, not liking Oasis is absolutely fine. You’re not required to go to any of the gigs or engage with the media coverage if it’s not your bag.

I’m not a fan ( like a few songs)
but they have a lot of fans that will be desperate to see them. It’s not the fans fault that the media have hyped this up.

You’re coming up against hostility (if you can even call it that) because there have been so many threads about people not liking Oasis and not wanting to go to the concert. As if anyone cares? I’m not going, not bothered about going but I cannot imagine starting a thread about it because nobody else gives a shit!

I’m not sure forums do exist so you can just publicly state things you don’t like, though. If you want to debate why Oasis are any good or not, that might be more what forums are for. If you just want to have a moan, a blog might be a better idea.
