This is a letter from a female employee of John Lewis's Cheadle branch. John Lewis told its female employees that they have to share toilets and locker rooms with trans identifying men. The employee says this is having a terrible effect especially on colleagues who have experienced trauma relating to men or who have religious reasons to not want to share a space with someone who is the opposite sex.

They are men.

Why are these men more important than women?

Trans women are men unless you think for example a male pelvis miraculously changes to a female one by special declaration and wearing make up

It really is. You can’t be a trans woman unless you are male to begin with. That’s really it. You don’t need to go on MN FWR forums to know this simple FACT. Anything other than this isn’t sensible discussion, it’s delusion and gas lighting.

If this deluded thinking didn’t have such disastrous consequences for women it would be laughable that grown adults (which I’m assuming you are) are walking about insisting this as fact.

You can’t be a trans woman unless you are assigned male at birth. That’s different to ‘being male to begin with’ as you put it. But we’re not going to persuade each other of our respective positions on this arguing on a board on MN so i’m done for today.

No one is assigned anything at birth. You are male at conception, male at birth and you’ll remain male until the day you die. It’s not kind to affirm anything other than this to some poor soul.
