AIBU in thinking good luck to Madge for her penchant for men 30+ years younger? She is currently dating a man aged 28 and she’s 66. People are outraged by it - but she’s having fun and I think good luck to her! She loves to be controversial and she has the money and the power to do what she likes!

Why is it ok for men to date much younger women but when this is reversed everyone is shocked and outraged and “concerned” for her safety??!! She’s fine! She’s loving life. It’s so silly and pretentious anyway, all this faux worry for her well-being.

She's dating someone that's a year older than her eldest.... sorry but that vomit inducing!! Imagine dating one your kids school friend?? Yuck!!

I know. The stark contrast between very carefully posed and filtered professional pictures and the reality of the Italian pictures is shocking.

And no other person in the spotlight carefully chooses pictures or uses filters? Just the abusive crazy old crone Madonna.

It's also the case that rich powerful successful world-leading men won't want to date Madonna. I have noticed it myself, even on a much lesser level, a lot of middle-aged quite successful men chose women a bit younger, a bit less wealthy and a bit prettier than themselves, that's their dating 'currency' to put it bluntly.

Many ordinary professional men don't want a competitive wife, and if their wife did have their own career, they have not promoted them, moved for them or looked after the kids for them so their wives can flourish and be just as successful as them. I see it all the time in academia, professor men with wives who have never got off the ground as their husbands take up all the career time and energy in the marriage (a few are more equal, they tend not to have kids IMO!)

Ultimately, two power players do not match each other, you need one person willing to travel and to play second fiddle to the first. The age gap is irrelevant to me, once they are over a certain age, and the fact he's a man does make a difference, he's not an impoverished female in a developing country without other options, he has his own degree, career and earning potential so can freely choose to leave.

I'm 37 and have noticed that younger men seem like young boys to me. It's actually scary how impressionable and naive they can be. I can't understand anyone who could have romantic or sexual feelings towards someone much younger than themselves. Gross.

A young man in his 20's made a pass at me once and it was almost laughable. The only temptation I had to resist was one to give him a sandwich and send him home to his mother.

There is a clear life experience and wisdom imbalance there.

I can only imagine that it is attractive to defective adults who don't want equality in their relationships, but a young person to mould and influence.

Lots of us DO "bat an eyelid" when the men do it.

I can't really celebrate it when women manifest increasing equality by joining men in their more disgusting choices, but it's not illegal so we just have to live with it.

I suppose it's beyond your comprehension that a woman might find a younger man sexually attractive and find sex with him hot. She may not want to mould him in her defective way, just have no strings sex.

Yes she is independent , i don't know if she's strong -we don't know her and i really don't give a stuff what she does with her life but from any images i see of her she strikes me as desperately clinging on to her perception of youth, i imagine her 'followers' probably laugh behind her back whilst taking what they can.
It must be quite a lonely life keeping an appearance such as hers up.
I think she looks crude and sleazy and i would not want her sniffing round my sons.

I find it repulsive that anyone, man or woman, would use a much younger girl or boy for sex.

Defective as in they are incapable or unwilling to find an equal partner for either casual or serious relationships.

I see. So having sex with someone younger or older than yourself is utterly repulsive. It doesn't matter that two adults may find each other sexually attractive and enjoy having sex. Many men are attracted to older women and many women like younger men. What people get up in their bedrooms is their business.

I don't care what consenting adults find attractive in a relationship, as long as it's legal, and don't really understand people who do.

So many judgmental 'it's disgusting' comments. If you think it's disgusting to date someone much older then you shouldn't do it. If you find much younger people to be immature and unattractive, don't date them then. Luckily, people have individual tastes and preferences. I admire her for consistently not caring what people think.

I have a 28 year old son...... I can't imagine the family dynamic if he were dating a woman who was older than me.

My SO is 16 yrs younger than me. I'm 59, he is 43. I guess I feel fortunate I'm neither rich or famous. Nobody can accuse him of using me for my money or me of taking advantage of his youth.😂

Fortunately, we adore each other and neither of us cares what anybody else thinks of our relationship or age gap

But Madonna's own friends are reportedly saying they are concerned he is using her so are they not allowed to just because she's doing what she wants?

What about those older women who going sauntering off with young, foreign waiters thinking it true love, are their friends not allowed to be concerned that they're being taken for a ride and not the good kind?

And it's not really OK for men to date such young women, it's also gross, Mick Jagger is 44 years older than his girlfriend, shes 36 and his oldest child is 52.

Leonardo Dicaprio literally dumped women because they turned 25, he's 49, that's shady as hell!
