Madonna’s younger men

AIBU in thinking good luck to Madge for her penchant for men 30+ years younger? She is currently dating a man aged 28 and she’s 66. People are outraged by it - but she’s having fun and I think good luck to her! She loves to be controversial and she has the money and the power to do what she likes!

Why is it ok for men to date much younger women but when this is reversed everyone is shocked and outraged and “concerned” for her safety??!! She’s fine! She’s loving life. It’s so silly and pretentious anyway, all this faux worry for her well-being.

Good on her

Funnily how MN did not remove half of these comments for blunt ageism.

People have different kinks.
As long as they are both consenting adults it is no ones business.

Of course a 28y old dancer or whatever will be hotter than 62y old bloke. If it was not the case all male models and strippers would be elderly.
"And now Steve, retired accountant with a flare for feather boas and pink"
Don't think so.

Not that I know anything more about him than anyone else does, but I strongly suspect that he's gay. I think he makes arrangements so he can be seen with beautiful young women and they can get publicity for their careers. Then he ends things when they're in their mid-twenties so they can get in actual relationships and have children if they want to. I find it very weird how none of them seem to ever say a word about their relationships with him - not even, "he's a nice guy, but it didn't work out," or something equally benign.

He became world-famous because of Titanic, and part of his appeal at the time was that girls could imagine there was the faintest chance they could be his girlfriend. It would have been unthinkable for a young Hollywood heartthrob to be openly gay. I always remember that time Kate Winslet said she knew "at least four" actors who were gay, but stayed in the closet because they thought it would hurt their careers. Leo goes pretty much everywhere with Lukas Haas and has for decades.

Anyway. Carry on.

Well many of the women have complained about the size of he's 🪵 and said hes abit too freaky 😬 however 24 years old with no additional needs? You are not a victim if you walked In with a sound mind.

This wins the prize for the most ridiculous post on the thread.

He must have a strong stomach

Why? What is it about the woman that you feel would make a sexual partner feel physically sick? Lack of personal hygiene? Rotting teeth? Bad breath? Repulsive table manners? What exactly is it about the woman that is so disgusting that it would make a man want to vomit?

lemonmeringueno3 · 24/08/2024 12:13

"Huh? At a certain age, most men are bald. Balding isn't disgusting. WTF?"

Well I'm allowed to find bald heads disgusting aren't I?

Just like some pp on this thread find big age differences disgusting.

He likes older women, she likes younger men. So what. I just can't understand why some people think everyone should find something disgusting just because they do.

He probably likes her money and connections. She's not attractive. She's always given off a creepy/predatory vibe even when younger.

That's not upto you I'm afraid you don't get to decide who finds her attractive

She's not attractive

To YOU. Ever heard the saying beauty is in the eye of the beholder?
We aren't all attracted to the same appearances/personalities.

ABirdsEyeView · 24/08/2024 20:34

I think of these big age gap relationships, where the older person has money and power, but the younger more attractive person does not, as akin to prostitution. It's grotesque imo and demeans them both.

I'd be willing to bet that with her lifestyle, diet, training schedule, sun sense and the money she has to throw at it, Madonna has a better body at 66 than I did at 36. Her cosmetic facial work isn't to everyone's tastes, but there's plenty of young women go in for similar and they don't go short of admirers. I'd imagine there are plenty of men who find her attractive.

RoseUnder · 24/08/2024 21:10

So many people on this thread who think sexual attraction is only physical.

Older women have plenty going on besides their bodies that can be attractive to men, you know!

The stories Madonna could tell, the laughs, her ideas and perspectives and humour.

Of course none of us know her personality but I’d bet she’s more interesting to talk to and fun to hang out with than most people on this thread. And that can be sexy - even if you’re wrinkly and a bit creaky!!

Yes!

Do you not see 28 year olds as adults?
Do you think all anyone can be attracted to is money and power?
As not everyone gives a shit about that. It's perfectly possible to like the person

Why? Adults are just that, adults. Are you in a relationship? Are you the exact same age? If so, good for you. Not relatable for every adult out there.

Who says?

I'm wondering if anyone actually knows anything about Madonna. She's always shirked convention and been very sexual. She released the coffee table book Sex in the 90s alongside Erotica, has had videos censored, caused outrage over her stage shows and spent her life pushing boundaries.

She remains a well travelled, charismatic, intelligent and successful woman who I'm sure many find attractive.

No smelling salts required.

I find it repulsive that anyone, man or woman, would use a much younger girl or boy for sex.

Defective as in they are incapable or unwilling to find an equal partner for either casual or serious relationships.

Did I hit a nerve?

Out of interest what is your limit of what an acceptable age gap should be ?!

In fairness, there is no evidence at all that this young man is impoverished and powerless, is there? As far as I'm aware, he is just a regular guy, doing averagely OK for himself like most of his age group. I've seen nothing to say that he's been trafficked, forced into selling sex by someone who is controlling him or because he's vulnerable in some way.
He was an ordinary Joe who got a chance with Madonna, saw his birthday and Christmas arriving together, thought Kerching, and cheated on his GF to take advantage of it. Greed not need.
If Madonna tires of him, or perhaps catches him cheating on her, he can go on his merry way, none the worse for it. He won't be left pregnant, his reputation will be none the worse for it and if he's savvy he will go away better off than he arrived.
He might well be trading sex and companionship for the lavish lifestyle Madonna can offer, but who is exploiting who is far from clear cut.

ABirdsEyeView · 25/08/2024 21:18

@5128gap I would respect someone who sold sex to escape poverty.
It's the active choice made by some to trade their self respect for either money or sex, when they don't have to, that I can't get on board with.

I suppose not everyone associates sex with self respect. From what I've read about Madonna her self worth comes from her career success and her fame. I doubt she respects herself less for having a young BF. The young man, who knows? I'd imagine being chosen by Madonna has probably made him feel pretty pleased with himself though.

IcedPurple · 25/08/2024 21:35

I think it's a bit sad, just as it is when the genders are reversed. As tey almost always are.

Still, they're all consenting adults so there's that.

henrythe4th · 26/08/2024 10:43

I don't think most people think 'good on them' when a rich, powerful bloke in his 60s in dating women in their 20s.

I think that attitude has changed significantly this century.

I don't think it's less creepy if it's the woman that is older.

But I also think consenting adults do their thing and some people prefer older partners and some people in general are attracted to wealth and power.

As long as we see the potential pitfalls in all of it and don't just celebrate it because it's a woman, fine.
