JKR being uncharacteristically quiet

Anyone else noticed since the news that JKR is being sued by Imane Khelif she's been very quiet, unless I'm mistaken she's hasn't tweeted at all in about a week.

and hasn't responded at all to the legal action being taken against her. This is very unlike her, I'm thinking she's been advised by her lawyers to keep quiet. Anyone else think she might have put her foot in it this time?

Yes, I think that’s exactly what has happened. She tweeted a lot of information which she hadn’t fact checked, which subsequently turned out to be untrue, and which has resulted in legal action. She will have been advised very seriously by her solicitors not to say anything at all.

But Khelif isn't a shit boxer, she trains at an elite level. I dare say if your DP had the same training she had, he would beat women with the same training all the time. But Khelif doesn't. She's successful sometimes and unsuccessful other times. Which doesn't suggest she has a physical advantage, it suggests she's fighting her physical peers.

Probably because the intention of her lawsuit was to identify the people responsible for the spread of the rumours and Joe Blogs tweeting to his 20 followers cannot be said to be spreading misinformation in quite the same way as public figures making pronouncements to millions.

IKs “physical peers” were clearly shown in the training camp before the games, where the boxing coaches had to pair IK with a male - as every female who sparred with IK ended up injured. Only male boxers were able to match IK - those male boxers were IKs “physical peers”.

Whenever someone (and it's usually women because men don't get anything like the same push back - I wonder why?) says anything about women's rights and the need for female only spaces and opportunities they're immediately dismissed as transphobic.

At this point the word "transphobic" has ceased to have any meaning because even basic biology is transphobic. That kind of knee jerk reaction really doesn't help anyone, including those with gender dysphoria.

So the women who've beaten her in the ring must also have been men then?
