I guess the rioters have booked time off work?

Just strikes me that they’re all available during the working week and yet they somehow think they’re the backbone of society.

If I had to chose who I wanted to eradicate from society it would be exactly these cretins. Fit and healthy enough to riot, fight and terrorise police officers who all have families to get back to but not fit enough to be occupied with any economic activity during the day.

Annual leave, shift workers, zero contract workers. Lots of reasons why they might be free today. Also, many are masked anyway, like a lot of the protestors seem to now be in favour of, for obvious reasons.

I hope the riots lead to a complete ban on wearing full head coverings in public places. Far too many balaclava clad yobs riding around on electric scooters and illegally modified bikes doing drug drop offs, or robbing people/businesses, who the police can't touch because they're not identifiable from CCTV.

MojoMoon · 07/08/2024 11:42

Cocaine is expensive and clearly quite a lot of the older football hooligan firm types are taking a lot of it, judging by the pictures.

So they probably are working - legitimately or not quite legitimately - as you can't afford that on benefits.

Being able to afford that much coke also suggests they aren't hard done by, just about managing, cost of living suffering types either

Eradicating from society - are you off your rocker? Any others you would like to eradicate? Disgusting post.

Eye-opening isn’t it?

3CustardCreams · 07/08/2024 11:44

Riots are planned for 8pm?

GinAndBeerIt · 07/08/2024 11:44

I don't think they're all unemployed, although they probably will be once they've been convicted, or seen in the media.
The one who was bitten by a police dog, then cried in the dock is a company director, the woman who pushed a wheelie bin at the police runs her own business.
I would say it's something of a mix between employed and unemployed.
What they do all have in common though, is being thieving thugs and hooligans.

@SunQueen24

My partner attended counter protests to the riots a day later than this and came home very shaken and he's a big bloke. For the people at the mosque to have approached people wanting their blood with such kindness, it's just amazing.

I'm not sure I could ever be so understanding to have reached out to people the way he has.

Imam hugs man protesting against mosque, saying 'our hearts were broken as well'

'Our hearts were broken as well.’

You want to ban the niqab too?

Alongside unemployment we have the possibility of:

  • Industry 2 week summer shut down
  • self employed contractors (friend of mine put back all of yesterdays work short notice so we could check on a friend who's suffering with her MH for eg)
  • school related work, summer holidays
  • general holiday time off, booked to coincide with DCs being off school
  • unable to work, obv physical health stuff would be difficult to argue for rioting, but maybe MH issues or unpaid carers
  • continental shifts particularly, but also shift work in general
  • a job that is arranged around weekends, hospitality for eg
  • SAHP
  • retired
  • calling in sick illegitimately

Eye-opening isn’t it?

Maybe use your powers of comprehension - together with your eye they can be quite powerful. You’ll see I’m not actually suggesting genocide. I’m just using the arguments of bigoted rioters in a rhetorical
way.

The post isn’t about “anyone who is unemployed for whatever reason” though?

But you are deriding the rioters because you don’t think they have jobs, not because they are rioting. So you are expressing a negative view of people who don’t have jobs.

Bravo for the use of the word cretin!!!

In some woke politically correct linguistically-sensitive contexts, "cretin", along with "moron", "imbecile", and "idiot", is considered to be a ableist slur. All of these words were originally used as technical terms to classify various levels of mental disability, and then adopted as terms of abuse. Cretinism was a name for disabilities caused by hyperthyroidism. ("Idiot" in its original Greek meaning just described a person who didn't take part in political life and was not a slur at all.)

I don't worry about it too much and I'm happy to call Donald Trump a moron, but you might get pushback in some situations. 🙏

IItisymoi · 07/08/2024 11:47

Well there are already over 400 with a criminal record that will haunt them for the rest of their lives IF they try to get work or go on holiday outside the UK, and there will be plenty more as a LOT of effort will be put into finding out who was present at any of these 'incidents'.

I’m deriding them for the totally destructive use of their time, whilst simultaneously purporting to be superior in some way.

Seeing how many have been remanded in custody I think there will be quite a few 'no shows' for work.

Any sympathy I have is reserved for the families and victims of the terrible stabbing incident and the targets of this mindless violence.

I think a lot of the perpetrators probably thought it was a bit of a lark. That's the danger of mobs, people revel in the anonymity and get swept up into it.

Many will not have expected real consequences for their actions. I expect there will have been a few self-pitying tears in court or in the cells below.

BeyondOlympicLevelProcrastinator · 07/08/2024 11:49

Also Coke dealers tend to work irregular hours, and there would be plenty of opportunity to expand their business...

<tongue in cheek, but also kinda true>

Edited

It's why I prefer blanket terms such as "bell-ends", it just gets to the point I feel and I enjoy saying it. Plus, there is also the use of the 🔔🔚 emojis.

It's not a really offensive swear and I feel can be enjoyed by most.
Of course it lacks maturity and probably wouldn't be ideal when writing a police report, but for chatting with fellow MNs I'm happy to call a bellend a bellend for the sake of keeping things fair 😀

I’m not sure thinking for yourself is getting you anywhere - you seem to be great at leaping to conclusions though. May I be so bold as to suggest a name change? It’s not working for you.

Riots are planned for 8pm?

That's it "riots" are planned for 8pm NOT peaceful protests or protests. Just let that soak in everyone. There's no use of the word peaceful protesting with any of the mindless acts that have been occurring. The importance of the victims and families of the awful Southport stabbing has been completely removed because these c have decided to plant violence and clear cut racism into communities who are otherwise at peace, getting on with their lives. I hate what is happening. I hate the people who are inciting all this hatred and violence. I want peace I want to live in harmony with all. I don't want to be scared to go outside. I have never done anyone harm and there are many many just like me. Leave us alone.

Who would employ these thick as mince, racist scum?

One that was put in custody until his trial is a company director (well so the reports say).

Could prove interesting if he employs people.

Pretty much any self-employed trader is a company director, shirley? DC's partner is self-employed, albeit with ambition, and he is down as managing director at Companies House. Maybe they calculated that if they told the judge they were a company director, the judge would look more favourably on them than if they'd said "I'm a roofer", and it's not a lie.

TryThinkingForYourself · 07/08/2024 11:54

@SunQueen24 so why are you bringing up the rioters employment status if you don’t believe it reflects on their value/inferiority/superiority? What’s the relevance?
