These "protests" just look like a load of people out for a fight. People on live steams talking about going to get beer and seem to be having a great time.
Causes are lost because of reasons like this? Why would I support you when you are destroying my city? Setting fire to bins? Throwing all sorts at the police. I can't support this.

Mn obviously doesn’t cover numbers but the DM does.

If Labour keep seeing the increase they are disorder is more likely.

It’s pretty simple and ridiculous posts from below about remembering whatever from pp doesn’t change how easy it was to see. If they can’t ‘smash the gangs’ as pledged Labour will be facing some difficulty here

Perhaps the rioters could start by clearing up exactly what they are "protesting" about. It's quite difficult to placate idiots who don't seem to know what they actually want beyond "blah blah blah something muslims" and starting fires.

newnamethanks · 04/08/2024 08:32

We elected politicians 4 weeks ago. Some posters appear to have mistaken them for magicians.

newnamethanks · 04/08/2024 08:33

I expect they're very upset by VAT on private school fees.

I doubt you’ll placate from mn posts but politicians have a tough time ahead if their trafficking policy fails

Is that what the riots are about? Any evidence you can link to?

😂😂 😂
Um wasn’t it the Tories who kept banging on about the need to Stop the Boats for 14 years and Brexit being the answer to all our woes.

They failed spectacularly on both. Should the Tories have “ faced some difficulty”?

With the latter Remainers were told to just get over it even though the entire country was lied to and Brexit has had a massive detrimental impact on the UK. Nobody is even allowed to mention the B word.

It’s just laughable how the hard left justify their childish thuggish behaviour.

In Hull I believe this started peaceful but between 2 groups. One anti immigration and one pro. There are photos where you can see police in their normal uniform. But as per usual, the thugs come out who just want to cause violence.

Well yeh they got voted out and many switched to Reform

Difficulty for Labour is rioting

Given I have been posting disorder is likely I’d say I got it right. Here we are with exactly that.

‘Remember you’ wtf how odd

Do you want to try again? That first sentence doesn't make sense.

Which government was rioting “difficult” for in 2011? Are you seriously suggesting the knuckledraggers wouldn’t have rioted under a Tory government (like they did 13 years ago)?

Since the pp was unable to get a post it’s pretty simple

This was foreseeable

Oh dear. The right-wing support button appears to have a malfunction. Try switching it off for a while then try again.

Oh dear the insults do fly when someone points out what will happen and it does

Why get angry about that? Because it’s going wrong?

In fairness, male violence is very predictable.

EasternStandard · 04/08/2024 09:11

These threads are predictable tbf with the insults over rationality, this disorder is going to increase and it was easy to see from ages ago

I guess we’ll need some more time before posters can read without attacking and see where we are in a year or so

hendoop · 04/08/2024 09:15

Doesn't help the police are massively under resourced and underfunded. This makes these protests harder to police as you don't have enough officers - the tories crippled the police in funding for the past 15 years and it is showing

The protests are not protests but violent racist thuggery

newnamethanks · 04/08/2024 09:16

Claiming ownership of rational thought is possibly not the best road for any one person to pursue just now.

BIossomtoes · 04/08/2024 09:17

When did you foresee riots then?

Why is it? Where was the disorder re the Tory destruction of the NHS, Brexit, the contracts for friends, partygate, Rwanda……

EasternStandard · 04/08/2024 08:03

In a month I’d hope a new gov would not be foolish enough to put in place trafficking policies that cause this

I was incredulous people thought it a good idea pre GE as disorder was likely

What "trafficking policies"?

Here's a summary of Labour's immigration policy so far:

https://www.lewissilkin.com/en/insights/labours-immigration-law-policy-dashboard

Which specific policy do you think is making the nutters attack minorities, the police and loot vaping shops?

Labour’s immigration law policy dashboard

Our dashboard explains the key policies announced by Labour to-date on legal migration and focuses on the policies most likely to be of interest to employers.

It’s harder to think clearly when disorder is around you so I would have thought about outcomes earlier, hence my posts at the time

My view was we’ll see social and political strain and it’s hard to deal with during unrest

Your last sentence doesn't make sense.

If the hard left are anywhere right now they're helping to stop the violence of extremist Farage-led racists attacking minorities, and then joining in the city clean ups - as we've seen in Bristol and Liverpool.
