Why has Michael Jackson not been cancelled?

I don’t understand why a musical has been made out of his music, and why his music is played at school discos and is still everywhere.

After I watched the documentary where the men described how he raped them, I won’t listen to his music at all, in fact, I feel a sense of disgust when it is played publicly.

I don’t understand why we seem to have cancelled everyone else except him. Is it because he died before he was officially found guilty?

Jimmy Saville never faced Trial. Tapes of all the shows he was ever in are not published by the BBC etc. I was offered tickets free, for the MJ show. I did not go, out of principle.

Priscilla was a great beauty at 14 and looked much older than she was. I think there's hardly a straight man in the world who wouldn't have wanted her. I agree that Elvis should have left her well alone when he found out her age, which I think he knew from the very beginning.

Exactly. They're rabid. The hatred for Michael Jackson - who was not convicted or found guilty of ANYthing - is fierce. And quite bizarre. The anger coming from a few posters on here is palpable. In the words of Taylor Swift 'you need to calm DOWN. You're being too LOUD!'

I don't why people think MJ could sing, he was mediocre at best but he was a great showman.

I only watched the documentary quite recently but I have to say that having seen it, I do feel differently about Michael Jackson's music. I used love it but when I hear it now, it gives me the ick 🤢

A pedophile sees nothing wrong with showing love to children and often vulnerable children who they deem in need of such attention.

A great dancer, though I can't stand to watch him because he was a creep. The popularity of his music is a mystery to me - it just sounds like a creepier falsetto-ier version of what every other mediocre pop star was doing at the time. Maybe Jackson's music is ephemeral after all, and will be forgotten when the last Gen Xer is gone. We were the ones who all seemed obsessed with the man in one way or another, whether we collected his albums or hid behind the sofa when he was on the telly!
