Biological men should not be fighting women how is this even happening ?? Two 'women' failed eligibility tests by the IBA. Yet the IOC deem them suitable it's mind boggling

Dsd seems to be incredibly rare, what are the odds of so many athletes being affected?

vivainsomnia · 02/08/2024 19:54

I’m really sorry but I do not know how to make it clearer to you but I suspect it wouldn’t matter anyway. You have decided someone is male and that’s that
The majority of posters are so entrenched in their feminist attitude that they can't conceive just for a second that someone can have a medical condition that impacts on their preconception about sex.

Such posters somehow seem to know secrets about this athlete despite never being published and have medical knowledge on the matter that defies expert clinicians.

It's well explained in every medical site that sex is NOT just defined by chromosomes, yet we have pages after pages of posters referring to her as male shouting high and low that she can only be a male because she has a Y chromosomes.

Some people won't ever accept they are wrong when being so doesn't fit with their ideologies.

The majority of posters are so entrenched in their feminist attitude...

To be fair, it was always a Poundshop mask, but it's nice to see it fall right off.

Quite high when you consider that these DSDs give a competitive advantage in women's sport.

viques · 02/08/2024 20:13

HowardTJMoon · 02/08/2024 20:08

@viques so you do indeed believe that a boxer who has allegedly just been unfairly disqualified by the Russian-led IBA for beating a Russian boxer, should have appealed to the Russian-led IBA about that decision.

Fair enough. Do you commonly believe what Russian-led organisations tell you, or is the IBA an exception?

As I said in my post, they could have challenged the IBA ruling, which would have given them access to the the evidence and tests that the IBA performed, they could also have found a fully independent body to have their own tests done.

Didn’t do either of those things, begs the question why not.

ChishiyaBat · 02/08/2024 20:13

@vivainsomnia prove that I am wrong and I absolutely will apologise for being wrong, until then I will continue to believe the evidence I can see with my own eyes and read with my own eyes thank you very much.

I just described one possible reason. Did you not read it?

It’s said that those who were observed female at birth with DSD are actively sought out for female based competition. Obviously that’s more hearsay than anything, but a country will send whoever they believe best suited to win a category for sure. Whatever loopholes they can take advantage of.

In my opinion intersex conditions should probably be a disqualifying criteria for elite sports

Unnecessary. These athletes just need to compete in their sex class. 'Intersex', better described as Disorders of Sex Developments or Variations of Sex Characteristics, can be as mild as penile hypospadia; they don't need to disqualify anyone.

I think sex class can be ambiguous, which makes things difficult. I often see people on here claiming all people with DSD are clearly male or female but this may not be necessarily as clear cut as we want it to be. I knew someone who confessed to me she had a condition that made her genetically male body (XY) insensitive to male hormones, so she developed as a woman outwardly; she looked like a tiny squeaky-voiced girl and nobody would have doubted her femininity based on appearances. What would be this person's sports class? Female based on common sense, but genetically she is male.

Abhannmor · 02/08/2024 20:21

Theeyeballsinthesky · 02/08/2024 08:09

people with DSD are either male or female

there is no mysterious third sex

the IOC are misogynistic cunts

It's as brutally simple and straightforward as that alas.

Helleofabore · 02/08/2024 20:21

Asherrain · 02/08/2024 19:23

What's your view on the fact that XY women have been able to give birth? Are they men too?
Or maybe it isn't all that straightforward.

Some people who have no ovaries but a uterus and who don’t process the testosterone their bodies produce have been recorded as gestating a child.

This is incredibly rare and they have not produced the egg that was fertilised.

Still a male with a male only DSD that cannot impact a female person who has ovaries.

You have just leveraged people with Swyers to attempt score political points. People with swyers do not have virilisation so they are irrelevant to this discussion. Except for you trying for a ‘gotcha’ as you have just tried.

She said it herself - she was angry because her olympics had gone up in smoke.

No, the evidence is in front of you. Just days ago this guy took loads of pics off. He is a man, xy chromosome. His legs, thighs and his hips especially don't lie. This is his instragram. He was born with anomaly, sexual development, but is a man and shouldn't box against women. Play darts maybe, but that's it. He punched a woman hard and is allowed to because people like you think she trained and just gave up after 46 fucking seconds by being punched hard by xy chromosome with balls showing through his shorts. Women are finished because collectively people like you make up shit, and that poor girl now has to aapologise to fucking bloke. If I wasn't a feminist before, I am now!

'The Hungarian Boxing Association says it is sending letters of protest to both the IOC and Hungary’s Olympic committee over Anna Luca Hamori’s quarterfinal matchup with Imane Khelif '

The whole affair is not doing international sporting relations much good.

There needs to be more transparency if the Olympics don't want this to overshadow the whole event. It's not going away.

Imane Khelif's Olympic participation decried in letter from her next opponent's boxing federation

It's almost as if having a Y chromosome gives you a competitive advantage in sport the same way being 7ft tall does.

People who are 7ft tall are, of course, almost guaranteed to have a Y chromosome.

As has been noted several times now, if we all believe your xenophobia about Russia always being the enemy, surely the disqualification would have been appealed? This isn’t just a ‘well that’s rude but I’ll move on’ situation - this is a serious blight on someone’s career, their way of making money. To have titles taken away from you and being accused of basically being the ultimate type of cheat, no woman would walk away from that kind of accusation without serious complaint. Especially knowing it would be brought up again on a bigger stage like the Olympics.

She was born with female genitals so therefore assigned female at birth. Her levels of testosterone and suitability for the female category are another issue but I’m just pointing out she’s not male as many are assuming

Well done for explaining very clearly, Helle. But boring old facts won’t convince someone who’s sticking their fingers in their ears and shouting Lalala.

Apparently not so, Howard.

9. "The IBA only disqualified L & K because they beat Russian boxers at the 2023 championships!" No they did not. I started seeing this weird, completely false claim circulating over the last 24 hours. Khelif beat Thailand's Janjaem Suwannapheng and was set to compete against China's Yang Liu for gold in the Welterweight category. Lin beat Bulgaria's Svetlana Kamenova Staneva for bronze in the Featherweight category. They were scheduled to fight no Russian boxers in either one of their categories, and only one Russian boxer won a gold medal in the entire championship (Anastasiia Demurchian, Light Middleweight).

@LostTheMarble As has been noted several times now, if we all believe your xenophobia about Russia always being the enemy, surely the disqualification would have been appealed

As has been noted several times now, to whom would a boxer appeal their IBA disqualification to, other than to the IBA?

But I am greatly amused by your insinuation that my distrust of Russia's ethics regarding sports is due to "xenophobia". Can your memory be so short that you have forgotten that the IBA was banned because of ethics violations? Or that Russia as a whole was banned from the Olympics for systematic doping?

Do you generally believe what Russian-led organisations say, or is the IBA an exception?

Made to apologise. Was very vocal yesterday about WHY her olympic dream was lost. And it's not just that. The fucker knows full well he is cheating. His instragram alone shows you whom he really is, and always had been and definitely shouldn't be competing in any combat sport against real women. Like I said. Stick to playing darts🙄
