I don’t want the money I pay to Fevertree to go to the guys who are positioning the U.K. as an enemy by saying stuff like “the U.K. is the first Islamist state with nuclear weapons”

And the guys who want to roll back women’s rights.

I’ll cheerfully drink Schweppes bitter lemon with my gin if it comes to it.

Fevertree are dead to me now. Some of those NAT-C loons are frightening.

Your choice

JohnnyAndTheDead · 17/07/2024 17:23

I was really surprised by it. A poor and divisive choice on their part.

This. You can do whatever you like.

what if I buy it when it is on offer ? would this lessen the pain?

I think boycotting big brands is pointless but you do what makes you feel better.

Fevertree elderflower tonic is and will continue to be my drink of choice.

Doesn’t mean I don’t think their stance is reprehensible.

Justcallmebebes · 17/07/2024 17:32

I'm sure the makers of Fever tree will be gutted

I seem to remember a big boycott of Shell made them reverse their position on something really quickly.

Hibernatalie · 17/07/2024 17:39

Nooooooo!!!! I love Fever Tree

toadinthebucket · 17/07/2024 17:42

Have you got a link? Can't find anything by googling

Willyoujustbequiet · 17/07/2024 17:45

Thank you!

Hopefully it backfires on them.

Andwegoroundagain · 17/07/2024 17:46

OMG I didn't realise. Gutted

britneyisfree · 17/07/2024 17:48

Argh. It's my favourite. But yes, I'll stop buying if this is correct.

pikkumyy77 · 17/07/2024 17:49

I don't agree. It's only pointless when enough people don't do it. Which in fairness is usually the case. I can't change the world but I can decide who I vote for and who i give my money to. Thats all the power I have and I use it. Yes it's never made a difference but maybe some day it will and it makes me feel that I'm not part of the problem.

Gorgonemilezola · 17/07/2024 17:50

They're a British company - why would they do this? Do you have a genuine link?

Butterworths · 17/07/2024 17:51

No way what a deeply weird thing to do are you sure?

ExtraOnions · 17/07/2024 17:51

I’m with you OP .. I won’t be using them anymore. I don’t want my money going to “Pussy Grabbing”, disability mocking, women’s-rights eroding, racist, right-wingers

Gorgonemilezola · 17/07/2024 17:52

Do we have a link yet?

Tagyoureit · 17/07/2024 17:53

Completely correct!!

And go to aldi and their version, it's nice and it's a third of the cost!

DancingPhantomsOnTheTerrace · 17/07/2024 17:54

Starbucks are sponsoring as well

alittleprivacy · 17/07/2024 17:55

You're not unreasonable to stop supporting them if you want. But if nat-c is meant to be read to sound like nazi you are childishly diminishing the realities of the Holocaust and other nazi atrocities and that's frankly horrible on multiple levels.

G123456789 · 17/07/2024 17:58

Proof of the line a lie can go around the world before the truth has got it's shoes on.

They haven't sponsored....someone had bought their product. Chill please

RainbowZebraWarrior · 17/07/2024 17:59

Thanks for this.

The Republicans have thanked 'all their partners' in the event. If I was fever tree, I'd think carefully about supplying products and therefore being linked as a partner to a political party.

I hadn’t noticed that.

You’re as bad as the thing you’re complaining about OP, and you know it, or you wouldn’t be trying to get it under the rador by spelling it that way.
