So this is the first time Ive seen anything written about Kier Starmer and I like the man described.

Am I being unreasonable?

'Those of us born a woman might say we have ovaries and a womb or we can child bear, but trans men have all of those organs and ability so a biological explanation doesn't work.'

Yes but I don't think you'd find anyone saying transmen are men either, they are transmen. Genitals and organs do define sex. How one dresses and behaves is a different thing completely.

It's crazy that the very simple solution of having mens facilities called gender neutral hasn't been implemented.

Ah but the men that have the woman feels and identity as women gender don't want gender neutral toilets they want women's spaces. It confirms in their head that they are women if they can invade, impose and push women aside.

I know I want the Tories out. Then push for greater understanding of the dangers that women and girls face if women's spaces aren't protected from ANY man who pops on some lippy (or not) and says he is now a woman and wants to come into women's sports, toilets, private places, rape centres, abuse centres and prisons. The Tories haven't sorted it so campaign onwards with new government rather than keeping pathetic lying existing government who dont sort it either.

Yet again the GCs with their obsession have derailed another thread.

Listen carefully, the vast majority of people don't care about your minority issue and are sick of hearing your dogmatic shite. Literally, go look at the things that people list as their most important issues in this election, your obsession is at the very bottom, and probably only there because polling companies listed it, rather than people putting it on themselves.

You know why no one cares? Because it impacts so few people. But here year after year here you are filling up tens of thousands of threads with millions of words.

You don't convince anyone that it's about safety of women and girls , because there are far bigger issues that impact the safety of millions of women and girls on a day to day basis, and you aren't campaigning vociferously on those.

You want to know about the safety of girls in school? Go read "Everyone's invited", few if any stories of transwomen/girls in toilets there. Huge issues over girls safety in schools though.

Want to care about the safety of women? Go look at the investigations into the Met and other organisations where sexism is rampant.

Go look at the courts system and how many reported rapes get convictions. Thousands upon thousands of them going without punishment.

You want to talk about women's spaces? Lets talk about how funding cuts have led to thousands of women being turned away from women's refuges? Want to talk about prisons? There are only 4 transwomen in women's prisons and there hasn't been any kind of assault by one since 2020. Lets talk about the issues that get women sent to prison and with their rehabilitation afterwards? No,?

Want to talk about the safety of women at work? Please! Let's talk about how the removal of legal aid from employment tribunals has disproportionately disadvantaged women in the work place, especially with cases of sexism and sexual harassment.

But oh no, none of these generate the same furore in you, it's the trans bogeyman and that alone.

It's very clear.

You are frauds, arguing in bad faith for the safety of women and girls to cover some other issue.

I've said it before, like Tommy Robinson arguing that he cares about women and girls, he doesn't and we all see him and what he is really about.

You are no better than he is.

I actually find you morally abhorrent. Because you make this claims, how dare you claim you are about the safety of women and girls when there are so many larger issues that impact them and this is the thing you have spent years posting about. How dare you say that this will be the reason you don't vote for one party and cast your vote for the other major party which has brought changes that have massively ( and disproportionately) impacted women and girls.

You are certainly intellectually lacking because the rote learned points that you make are so easy to see through.

The best thing ever though, for all the hot air and millions of words you have posted here? Your impact has been tiny and mostly non existent.

Everyone can see through you.

RedOrBlueOrYellow · 03/07/2024 16:17

It's not derailment. It's one issue. For some it's important and for others it's not important. Some talk private school fees and VAT over everything, again important to some and not others. If any poster wishes to answer a previous posters claims go ahead. No need for thread police to decide what is relevant or not. I think Starmer answers it as well as he currently can to keep most people ok. I hope he wins.

I can only speak for me and its a smaller reason to vote for a party behind a raft of other reasons such as the NHS, social care, crime, education, housing etc.

RedOrBlueOrYellow · 03/07/2024 16:25

As for Keir - I think he offers stability, calmness, gradually looking at options and finding solutions.

He needs more money to sort out the current mess but knows many worry more about a 1p tax than the rubbish public services (crazy but they do).

A supermajority means more money to spend on things that need doing (BBC news today).

I don't want sleeze (I think Sir Keir will throw those out), I don't need big egos and ott personality, no popstar celebrity types. Just quiet competence will do me.

Xenia · 03/07/2024 16:27

His parent gave him a weird name after Keir Hardie (who we studied at school in history). Poor Keir S probably never had a chance of choosing the true right path of Conservative politics because his parents named him after the founder of the Labour Party. It is a bit boring when children pick the politics of their parents.

I still don't agree it is a non issue that he chose (albeit lawfully) to take free football tickets. He should just have paid for himself - best to be seen to be whiter than white surely?

You'll get the same response as I got when I suggested that I'd personally like to see the actual subject of the thread being discussed. I found it an interesting question and a thoughtful OP.

We'll hopefully begin to get answers to that question after a new government under Keir Starmer is installed. He doesn't face an easy task, but I think he's up to it.

Not how dare women.

The majority of women don't think your obsession is the biggest issue facing women at the moment.

Claiming that you speak for all women is incorrect.

Good thing I didn’t post that. Although I doubt you know what all other women think as claimed.

But yes I’m getting how dare women post about it.

Feel free to talk about other topics and allow others to do the same. You might not get so worked up on a public forum where you can’t control posts.

Also I appreciate this site not just catering to men as the internet often does. Even if some resort to insult.
