She's 58 years old.
By MN standards that's teetering on the edge of dementia, drawers full of lavender bags and carers twice a day.
On the contrary, I have seen multiple threads on MN where people encourage women to leave their dull or unhappy marriage at that sort of age, because 'you're still so YOUNG OP!'
They say 'you have loads of life left, probably 40 years, and at LEAST ten years of working life. You can get a degree, forge a new career, get a whole new bunch of friends, and a wonderful new life. Re-invent yourself! My friend Sue did it. She left her DH after 37 years (at 56,) and got an amazing new man 30 years younger. She looks 20 years younger, and has a new career with a £100K a year salary.'
And that's on top of the multiple threads encouraging women to have babies at 48-50, because it's still SO YOUNG!
I rarely see any 'you're past it at 58 comments' tbh!
