You can vote for whoever you want OP, do your research listen to many independent podcasts if that's your thing read media from a number of sources,

Personally I won't be voting reform, that's my decision based on my consumption of ALOT of research over the last 4 weeks +

But if your happy with your decision and feel reform best represent your outlook then go for it...

It’s funny because your liberal socialist kind are happy until you run out of other peoples money. The world doesn’t run on kindness and compassion. People have to work to make society function and if you have a large population of newcomers who are unable to work coming with their dependants. 4.3 million people in last few years is it a wonder why people are not able to get appointments all over the country. Tel you what fine let’s take the current situation to its logical conclusion what do you think people who have been claiming government assistance will vote for in future more of the same? Once the tipping point is reached which I would argue already has with not enough homes being built children not being able to afford to get on housing ladder. No dentists access at all up and down country. Crime increases strangely mostly around high illega migrant population areas. Btw this is before you mention that the new arrivals in 3 years have been 90% single men. You keep voting with your feelings and watch what happens to the country.

Do you have sources for any of those statistics?

HRTQueen · 30/06/2024 10:50

Yes YABU

you are voting for a party who is led by a racist man who wants to create division and has absolutely no interest in what is best for the British public (he was off to more important business in the US a few weeks ago) and for a party that is full of racists and misogynists

But if that is what you want to support then go ahead

Trickabrick · 30/06/2024 10:51

Genuinely interested in whether you’re considering voting Reform as a protest vote or because you truly feel they most closely align with what you want from an MP?

Despair132 · 30/06/2024 10:39

God people like you are so easy to fool with a setup video. You are the typical sheep who believe everything they see on the bbc.

Ah...the sheep metaphor
The hallmark of someone who is so brainwashed by extremists they truly believe they are a free thinker.

Ihaveahamster · 30/06/2024 10:54

I think an awful lot of you are going to be shocked come 5th July.

Lots and lots of people I speak to are voting Reform, younger people too. I think people are fed up of swinging between labour and conservatives and essentially getting ‘same shit, different government’.

People are so disillusioned that they’re going to say ‘shit or bust’ and vote for the extreme. Just to execute change.

CranfordScones · 30/06/2024 10:54

Their foreign policies are just pants-on-head stupid and frankly dangerous.

If you want to vote for mainstream conservative policies then hold your nose and vote Conservative.

But a big Labour majority will put Farage in a very strong position in 5 years' time. Labour won't address any of the real concerns of the Brexit supporting working class voters who feel left behind. So next time they'll vote for Farage in large numbers. They'll think: "How can things get any worse?" and they'll vote in a very right wing government, catching up with the rest of Europe at that time.

Wordsmithery · 30/06/2024 10:54

If you want to be ruled by a racist narrow-minded misogynistic public school twat, whose financial policies just don't stack up, then go for it.

OrwellianTimes · 30/06/2024 10:55

haveatye · 30/06/2024 10:23

That's like saying I'm sick of pasta and potatoes, I'm going to rub my face in shit instead

Best answer ever.

Mmhmmn · 30/06/2024 10:55

Reform are vile, racist scumbags so yes, YABVU.

BlusteryLake · 30/06/2024 10:55

Reform attracts racist, xenophobic misogynists. Nigel can denounce them as much as he likes. They form the core of his party. He is just the slightly more articulate front man that allows them access to the table.

cansu · 30/06/2024 10:57

No because they are a bunch of right wing idiots with absolutely no idea how to run the country. They have a few hobby horse policies that are reactionary and often offensive.

I agree that people are fed up and disillusioned. This is the first election I’ve ever voted in where I’m not passionate about any party. But none of the somewhat reliable polls are indicating that Reform are going to get more than about 2 seats?

In the last election, every single person I asked in my friendship circle was voting Labour. That didn’t mean that I thought they’d win, just that I’m in an echo chamber of people with similar views as myself (hence why we’re friends I guess 🤷🏼‍♀️)

Dontgonearthecastle · 30/06/2024 10:20

First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist
Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist
Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist
Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew
Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me

So no. I won't be voting for extremists, ever.

Nigel Farage has shown support for the views that’s Andrew Tate holds. Says it all really.

Is it funny you cry toxic masculinity but when you’re in danger who would you rather come to save you a toxic masculine man or a guy who is afraid of violence? The hypocrisy is so obvious.

Erm….men like Andrew Tate ARE the danger?

Motomum23 · 30/06/2024 10:59

I find it really amusing that all those who are against reform have. Nothing to say about the paid actor pretending to be a racist reform candidate. Its election interference and highly illegal - nazism at its absolute finest (if anyone remembers the burning of the reischtag)

This is a crazy point of view to have! It’s people like Andrew Tate who are the ones more likely to be putting us in danger 😅 We don’t need them to rescue us, we need them to leave us alone in the first place.

MeadowL · 30/06/2024 10:59

A big problem today is that a lot of people get their news from ultra left wing organisations like the BBC and they become indoctrinated and they brand anyone different as a racist or facist.

@Despair132 I am not sure where to start with this. Do you know the difference between legal migration, illegal immigration and refugees/asylum seekers?

Aso if, in your view, 90% of immigrants are young single men how come you also think they are unable to work, young single men famously being a group that are highlymobile and fit to work? Indeed familes often send young men as immigrants precisely due to their ability to work and provide for family "back home". It is true asylum seekers are legally prevented from working by the government but they are only a tiny proportion of immigrants.

I work in a highly skilled job in London, a fair number of my colleagues are foreign born nationals with right to remain (from all over - Europe, America, Canada, Africa, India) and are highly skilled, higher rate tax payers.

WillimNot · 30/06/2024 11:00

I'm not happy with Labour either as I am a socialist and I campaigned for Corbyn.
If I was to ever vote or suggest voting for Conservatives I'm clearly unwell.

However, never would I ever vote reform. They've shown what they are repeatedly. Shooting people as target practice at Dover? The homophobic slurs? No thanks.

I'm voting tactically for the Lib Dems. They are already the overall majority council where I've recently moved to and I've been impressed thus far with their candidate and ideas locally.

Not wanting to vote Labour or Conservative doesn't mean Reform is your only choice. There's Green, Lib Dem, numerous independents.

If your go to choice as alternative is Reform then you aren't voting for them because you don't like the two current main parties. They are a business enterprise, they are homophobic, sexist, racist and have no respect for the poor or disabled if you look at the crap they've come out with.

I hope they disband quickly when they don't get the votes they assume they will

Right….. yep very dangerous… you keep believing what your told to believe.

IFollowRivers · 30/06/2024 11:01

Everyone should vote. If you are a previously right leaning conservative voter who feels disenfranchised by the tories then Reform is the next 'best' option.

They're not for me. I'm voting Labour although they are not as left as I would like. If a lefter version of them were available in my constituency then maybe they'd get my vote. Don't know.

Review their policies. If they resonate then Reform are the party for you.

Much better that than not voting at all. Democracy is a hard fought right and we should treasure it, imperfect even though it is.

Just a reminder that the Director-General of the BBC is Tim Davie. Who is a Tory.

Literally nobody I speak to is voting Reform so I guess it depends who you speak to? 🤷‍♂️. Loads are voting Lib Dem though.
