Do you even know what a fascist is? It’s someone who tries to shut down the freedom and choice of others. I wonder who fits that description?

KoiKoiKoi · 30/06/2024 10:35

Yanbu. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, however much others don't like it

Free choice on your vote (and opinions) is supposed to be the point of democracy isn't it?

Jb2182 · 30/06/2024 10:36

YANBU for not wanting to vote Tories or Labour.

YABVU for thinking that Reform is the next best option.

Hagpie · 30/06/2024 10:36

“AIBU to vote for fascists?”

“Lest we forget” has become a cruel joke; we have forgotten.

Ionacat · 30/06/2024 10:37

Their full manifesto is popularist and if you do who should I vote for, then you’ll find you agree with some it, but look at a fact checker, it would be completely undeliverable.
However look at the wider context of the party. It is not a democratic party, it is controlled by two people hence Farage just made himself leader. The comments that are made by their candidates, misogyny, racism and decide whether you want to align yourself with that.

MermaidEyes · 30/06/2024 10:37

Farage, the British Trump, Let's make Britain great again. It's not been great for centuries mate. Piss off you racist moron.

RobinsonsOrange · 30/06/2024 10:38

Their manifesto looks like something a year 6 child would make up if they were told to pull something together. It's just missing the "free ice cream on Friday".
And that's not even considering the fact they are massive racists

I genuinely believe you were one of the people in the back of the class talking, during history and citizenship.

Dictionary definition is:
1
often capitalized : a political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition
2
: a tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control early instances of army fascism and brutality

Exalting race and nation above the individual is exactly what Farage wants to do.

I think fascism is also about making the majority feel powerful through scapegoating a minority, while at the same time making the majority feel fear in case they fall into the scapegoated category. It's about creating state enemies we're all supposed to hate and see as subhuman.

Definition of DICTATORIAL

of, relating to, or befitting a dictator; ruled by a dictator; oppressive to or arrogantly overbearing toward others… See the full definition

You are free to vote for whoever you like.

If I discovered any friend of mine voted reform I would view them very differently and stop socialising with them… but then again they would probably be as disgusted with my liberal, tolerant and caring outlook as I would be with their racist, homophobic and vile outlook so I guess it would be a mutual parting of the ways.

God people like you are so easy to fool with a setup video. You are the typical sheep who believe everything they see on the bbc.

Ginmonkeyagain · 30/06/2024 10:40

You crack on mate but have you actually seen their manifesto? A six year old has a better grasp of maths. That bunch of grifters and golf club bores being anywhere near power will not improve a single thing. But as with Brexit - play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

CraftyGoblin · 30/06/2024 10:40

Their manifesto states they would scrap the 'Equalities Act'. I think they mean Equality Act. Let's hope that you're not one of the 25% of people in the UK who are disabled or will develop a long term health condition. Also assuming none of your family are or will ever become disabled.

MeinKraft · 30/06/2024 10:41

Well it depends. Do you think that migrants coming over in small boats should be used as target practice? If so, crack on. Maybe drop by a tattoo parlour and get a swastika on your arm while you're at it.

Hobnobswantshernameback · 30/06/2024 10:42

lol op
you're soooo funny and cool and edgy

Is that your counter argument to a clear and intelligent post?

PoppyCherryDog · 30/06/2024 10:44

Nigel Farage has shown support for the views that’s Andrew Tate holds. Says it all really.

Hobnobswantshernameback · 30/06/2024 10:44

Doubt the OP will be back…

MeinKraft · 30/06/2024 10:44

@Despair132 where do you get your news from?

Despair132 · 30/06/2024 10:29

Not at all, everyone I know is voting reform. Don’t believe everything you read obviously there is a force to stop people voting for change.

Serious question, what has made you decide to vote for them? Which of their policies do you think are good for the country (and achieveable)?

It’s funny because your liberal socialist kind are happy until you run out of other peoples money. The world doesn’t run on kindness and compassion. People have to work to make society function and if you have a large population of newcomers who are unable to work coming with their dependants. 4.3 million people in last few years is it a wonder why people are not able to get appointments all over the country. Tel you what fine let’s take the current situation to its logical conclusion what do you think people who have been claiming government assistance will vote for in future more of the same? Once the tipping point is reached which I would argue already has with not enough homes being built children not being able to afford to get on housing ladder. No dentists access at all up and down country. Crime increases strangely mostly around high illega migrant population areas. Btw this is before you mention that the new arrivals in 3 years have been 90% single men. You keep voting with your feelings and watch what happens to the country.

ExtraOnions · 30/06/2024 10:48

…I can’t decide which of my Human Rights I want removing first.

AIBU to vote reform
HandsDown84 · 30/06/2024 10:48

Vote for them if you want, but I wouldn't tell anyone unless you want them to make some assumptions.
