To be so angry about eggs

So disclaimer: I'm pretty sure this is unreasonable and I'm 5 weeks pregnant.

Got some fancy farm fresh eggs last weekend and was looking forward to a few for breakfast this morning. Come down to realise DH has put all 8 of the lovely eggs we bought for silly price from farmer into a cake for his work. When shop with normal eggs is literally 2 minutes away.

Gave out to him (raised voice, half amused, not shouting) at which point he told me I was being a bad example to 2 year old who thought the whole.thing was hilarious.

Also my mum died 2 months ago.

AIBU? Who puts nice eggs like that into a work cake?

Also AIBU to think he would just give me a break given all I'm going through?

apologise to your husband and tell him your real feelings

What does this actually mean? Why should she apologise to her husband? Are you from Gilead?

Seems he's more concerned with his co-workers than his pregnant and bereaved wife.

Hugs from me OP. and who gives a fuck if they're "unmumsnetty"

This sounds like it's not about the eggs it's about your emotional state. Explain to your husband how you're feeling & that you may over react to things at the moment because of grief & your hormones. Then ask him to save you a slice of the work cake & enjoy it with a nice cuppa.

@Goodtogossip , OP's emotional state is what it is because her DH used all the nice eggs for cakes, meaning the OP couldn't have the yummy breakfast she'd been looking forward to.

Not everything is due to hormones, and she didn't overreact.
