Something about Taylor swift and her swifties really grind my gears, I don't see the hype.

This is really my response.
You don't have to like her, plenty don't.

See also all sports players, actors, religious leaders etc.

But a female predominantly supported by other females is what is worth running down.

People perhaps have reacted to the unpleasantness of war, Covid, the nasty government we have (and other countries think Trump as an example), by wanting something bland and inoffensive.

I agree. My lovely teen granddaughter and her friends got dressed up for the show, and had a great time! Did no harm to anyone, I thought it was so good to see them having fun after their exams.

Why is it so much fun to shit on what teen girls like? I had all this with Twilight when I was younger, and the hatred of boy bands. Remember the Beatles were considered a bit rubbish when most of their fans were teenage girls - suddenly men jump on it and it becomes cool. No wonder anything women are into is treated as something less than and a ‘guilty pleasure’. Can’t you just let people like things without judging them for something so inoffensive! I'm not a Swiftie, neither is my DD. But we do like her music and went to see her at Wembley on Sunday. It was a fab show, great vibe, lots of people swapping friendship bracelets and having a great evening. What is possibly not to like.

There are tons of things I don't like nor get, but I don't go to them or run others down.

I can only name one TS song (Shake it Off?), and I don't know how it goes. But she's not doing me, or anyone else any harm, so...? 🤷‍♀️ Nobody has to listen to her music, or read anything about her if they don't wish to.
