Filthy food habit… and what’s yours?

Not talking Biscoff straight from the jar here… its so low-level I’m compelled to post (with NC) so to expose the guilt/be shamed out of it.

Maggi noodles eaten dry, from the packet, with the seasoning sprinkled into them. Preferably chow mein flavour. But eaten in bed. Last night the flavouring went on my sheets which may or may not have been a turning point.

What’s your secret filthy food habit?

Um oh.

For the buttered Weetabix try butter topped with golden syrup. Mix it together on the Weetabix to be a bit caramelly. Used to do that as a kid.

I'm rather fond of a good camembert or brie with plain salted crisps and quince paste. Occasionally add salami or pepperoni.

Also rather partial to day old macaroni and cheese with tomato sauce.

Dessert - try an nice ice cream, smashed up tim tams and crumbled flake all smooshed together.

I also rather like soggy / stale fruit tingles - so much better soft than crunchy.

Another thing I loved as a kid was the boiled fruit for a fruit cake when it had the butter and baking soda.

Oh, forgot cooked piklets, still hot, dipped in piklet batter.

I get a tin of sweet sweetcorn, a jar of pickled onions and a big pack of hula hoops. One mouthful = big fork of sweetcorn, 2 pickled onions and 3 hula hoops is the perfect combination (having experimented many times).

Marmite and banana sandwiches on cheap white bread. Used to seem really strange but now the make marmite peanut butter not so much.

Crispy bacon bits and mashed banana on toast used to be another favourite.

In the nicest way possible, thinking of that made me feel unwell😂

Oh well ...
Packets and packets of Extra strong mints, to the point of replacing meals.
Not overweight and not diabetic, but aware it's bonkers.

Sourdough bread sandwich with mayonnaise and balsamic glaze

As a student I loved Ambrosia creamed rice on toast. I so want some now (but can't get Ambrosia where I am).

Incidentally, here and in some other countries what is basically bacon (back bacon minus the rind) is routinely eaten raw. Love it

White bread spread thickly with heinz burger sauce. It MUST be heinz.

Years ago ... frozen fish fingers!!

Used to work in a shop with a big deck oven and would partially defrost croissants and stuff them with whatever chocolate bar and put them back in the oven

A large bowl of (cooked!!) Brussel sprouts with black pepper and a couple of Dairylea cheese triangles mixed in.

That pot mash was in the shops when I was in the army 25 years ago. I used to take it instead of the ration packs. It was lovely the onion one.

I’m also not above inhaling KFC hot wings dipped in KFC gravy (the bomb). My friend has a very unflattering memory of me, drunk, putting the whole gravied hot wing in my mouth, and pulling out just bones on the way out. As a pp said, prison vibes
