Filthy food habit… and what’s yours?

Not talking Biscoff straight from the jar here… its so low-level I’m compelled to post (with NC) so to expose the guilt/be shamed out of it.

Maggi noodles eaten dry, from the packet, with the seasoning sprinkled into them. Preferably chow mein flavour. But eaten in bed. Last night the flavouring went on my sheets which may or may not have been a turning point.

What’s your secret filthy food habit?

Supernoodle sandwiches, with tons of butter.

Seafood or cocktail sauce on bread & butter or toast.

Buttered toast with an extra sprinkling of salt.

Re: stale wotsits, I once opened a bag and left them to go stale/chewy and it took 11 days.

Opinionwontchangeluv · 22/06/2024 01:16

Cold chips

Florawest · 22/06/2024 01:34

Apple sandwich
crisp sandwich
bread with peanut butter, ham and banana
cold toast, cold beans
choc bar and crisps

WalkingonWheels · 22/06/2024 01:35

If you like Wotsits with yoghurt, try Wotsits with cottage cheese. You'll never look back. Ever.

See also Twiglets dunked in Philadelphia. The combination of creamy, crunchy and salty is just perfection.

Omg I want to try about 75% of the things on here now (except the raw meat!). Mine is wafer thin ham spread really thickly with full fat Philadelphia then rolled up and devoured. Plus curry super noodles with about a quarter of a tub of mayflower curry sauce powder (hot or extra hot, none of that medium rubbish) thrown into the pan with a load of extra water, whisk the life out of it then tuck in to a massive bowl of gelatinous curry flavour carbohydrate heaven (tho you're looking at 10 mins cooking time not 3 mins cos of the sheer amount of extra sauce generated by the curry sauce powder!). Also salt and vinegar squares on bread with a ton of butter. Best sandwich ever. Or if I'm feeling adventurous, a tin of chilli & garlic or jalapeño tuna on brown bread spread with a chilli mayo, topped with some thinly sliced pickles, crispy onion bits, sriracha sauce and candied jalapeños. Can't think why I've put on so much bloody weight recently 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

Ooh this has just reminded me of salt and vinegar snack a jacks with a ton of chive flavour cottage cheese, a bit of tajìn seasoning and some packet piri piri/mexican chicken. Plus jalapeños obvs. God I can't wait for lunch tmw 😂

Mines probably not that bad...
Egg mayo on marmite rice cakes
My manager looked green when he saw me eating it

spikeandbuffy · 22/06/2024 02:18

Oh and when I go back home, going to the pasty shop
I get a meat and potato pasty on a buttered barm with brown sauce and squash it down a bit before eating

ShinyGreenAngled · 22/06/2024 02:37

We tried a pukka steak pie in a M&S bread roll once. Delicious. Horrified teenager who walked in the room and caught us. And I do remember feeling really hungry before we had it, which helped.

Particularly love a slice of bread with, marmite, peanut butter and sandwich spread on top.
Can also go for peanut butter on bread with salad cream on top. Yum

Slattern77 · 21/06/2024 22:11

This reminds me of ice cream sandwiches too - buttered slice of cheap white bread folded over cheap vanilla ice cream

Now, that sounds nice. It must be like a kind of baked Alaska.

CalicoPusscat · 22/06/2024 03:16

I've got raw bacon horrors now

bellalou1234 · 22/06/2024 03:22

Stale crisp breads
Sausage and egg mcmuffins ate in bed

Dustyblue · 22/06/2024 03:52

Eating coffee beans like they're peanuts. I go through phases of it.

Oh my gosh 2 x chewed mini cheddars put in between 2 normal cheddars and eaten like a sandwich 🥪😳

I thought I was the only disgusting bastard to do that!

Crunchy Nut Cornflakes... served with cream, not milk. Not milk AND cream. Just cream.

Deep fried chunks of tinned croissant dough, rolled in sugar. Makes enough to serve 6 at least. Is consumed by the two of us, til we feel very very sick.

This week... we got Krispy Kreme plain glazed rings... and stuck them on the waffle iron. They come out caramelized and crunchy on the outside. Heaven.

Other adventures with the Breville 3 in 1 include the Panini'd Cheeseburger (make a cheeseburger on a brioche bun, no salad obvs, hot salad is gross, pop it in the panini maker, goes all crunchy on the outside, soft and cheeseburgery in the middle.

My finest creation yet however, remains the Bread and Butter Pudding Toastie..

White bread - sultanas and shredded bread, cinnamon, custard filling - in the toastie maker and then dredge with cinnamon sugar when it comes out. chefs kiss

I am also partial to a potato salad and salami sandwich made on hot buttered toast. Crunchy and soft, creamy and salty, hot and cold - delicious, but messy.

ChristmasJumpers · 22/06/2024 04:04

Fish finger and waffle sandwiches with melted cheese on and Ketchup

Or fish finger & bacon sandwiches (surf and turf 😂)

My Grandad talked fondly of 'coni-oni' butties in his youth - thick slice pf bread with condensed tinned milk!

My Nan used to make chocolate spread by mixing hot chocolate with condensed milk!

andfinallyhereweare · 22/06/2024 04:47

I’ve drank the brine from olives. Love it.

Yes 😃

My finest creation yet however, remains the Bread and Butter Pudding Toastie you win - I’m so trying that today! 😃

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 22/06/2024 06:13

Tin of peas, just take the lid off, add some tomato, or brown, or chilli sauce.

Stir, eat cold, from the tin, no washing up and plenty of fibre, apparently..

Oblomov24 · 22/06/2024 06:17

some of these make we wince!

Cattyisbatty · 22/06/2024 06:19

Sadly I can’t indulge in food filth anymore due to having GORD 😢 (and reading the vinegar based snacks make me wince!).

just before I started with symptoms I lived cheesy quavers and Diet Coke together - no dipping - but was a great taste combination!

I also liked cold baked beans/tinned spaghetti in tomato sauce

As a kid I loved
cheese crumbled into crisps
raw spaghetti
buttered weetabix
grated carrot and grated cheese mixed together (still love this but it’s not filthy!)

I like to suck the vinegar out of pickled onions.
Swigs of malt vinegar.mmmmm

Toasted white bread, salad cream and Dairylea cheese slices.

Mumof2girls2121 · 22/06/2024 06:36

when I first left home, I used to eat scrambled egg and pickled red cabbage together as a meal 😂
