Filthy food habit… and what’s yours?

Not talking Biscoff straight from the jar here… its so low-level I’m compelled to post (with NC) so to expose the guilt/be shamed out of it.

Maggi noodles eaten dry, from the packet, with the seasoning sprinkled into them. Preferably chow mein flavour. But eaten in bed. Last night the flavouring went on my sheets which may or may not have been a turning point.

What’s your secret filthy food habit?

I used to have them when I was vegetarian, nearest thing to a bacon sandwich. Fakeon wasn't invented back in the day.

Auburngal · 22/06/2024 21:09

Bombay Bad Boy Pot Noodle with brown sauce and mango chutney

chattyness · 22/06/2024 21:10

Pie in a roll is an everyday food here especially a Scotch pie, it's not filth 😆

we were given condensed milk sarnies when we were little until my big brother said it looked like an old man's big sneeze 😖 so I never ate them again, snot butties no thanks. I do use cdm now but never in a sandwich.
My filthy food isn't that freaky really, thick white bread toasted & left to go cold before buttering and then sprinkle with chicken bouillon powder. Cheese and onion crisp butties, butter the bread add the crisps and then slice a mars bar length ways as thin as you can, layer on top of crisps and top with another slice of bread and butter

Tiredkittens · 22/06/2024 21:56

My main one is I eat big chunks of salted butter straight out of the fridge, with extra salt. (sea salt, for the crunch)

Some good tips amongst these though. Will have to try several. Pie sandwich sounds great for instance!

EternalSunshine19 · 22/06/2024 22:05

I eat prawns with the shells still on because i can't be bothered to de-shell. Also been known to eat the heads too, if they're still attached.

ItsDifficult · 22/06/2024 23:30

My kids eat mango with the skin on!

Snowpaw · 23/06/2024 16:13

momager1 · 21/06/2024 21:52

@Snowpaw I take your scramble egg and hashbrown wrap and raise you Mine.. scramble egg, hashbrowns, cooked chopped bacon or sausage (or both!) green onions or scallions.. shredded cheese, wrap in the pan with just a squirt of oil and fry like a burrito..then ALL the sour cream (sorry no hot sauce for me)

Edited

I will definitely make that! Heaven

AliTheMinx · 23/06/2024 18:00

I eat raw bacon. Yep - I know it's highly dangerous, but I've been doing it for about 30 years and I'm still here to tell the tale!

My dad also used to sprinkle sugar on ham!..

AliTheMinx · 23/06/2024 18:02

When I was in the Sixth Form, I used to take either a jar of pickled mussels or a jar of cockles for my breakfast!

fiestaforevertilnow · 23/06/2024 18:07

White bread and butter dipped in coffee.

😍

Scammersarescum · 23/06/2024 18:26

I have a stomach issue but if I did have one I could indulge in, it would be thick white bread, even thicker butter all wrapped around cheese and onion crisps.

I'm salivating thinking about it 😂but I can't handle the consequences

Shittification · 23/06/2024 18:26

Thevelvelletes · 21/06/2024 22:15

That sounds ace.

Yes - it absolutely does.

Adding pineapple and dairylea to the shopping list immediately.

I like it dipped in hot chocolate 😋

A friend owns a cafe/restaurant in Greece that is aimed at holiday makers.

She said a couple came in one day for breakfast and asked if the child could have Coco Pops in Coke rather than in milk!!!!

GrandTheftWalrus · 23/06/2024 22:53

Hot buttered toast dipped in cold milk.

Aaagh , no. Don't eat raw sausage. Pork needs to be cooked Trichinosis is a food-borne disease caused by a microscopic parasite called Trichinella. People can get this disease by eating raw or undercooked meat from animals infected with the parasite.

I recently had steak tartare, if you like raw mince you should try it

Oh god no! I don't eat meat but my son does & I want to puke thinking of this!

*disclaimer I've eaten raw jelly, my auntie ate muck whilst pregnant & finally my mam ate coal whilst pregnant with me (also I ate part of a firelighter when I was a toddler apparently!) so no judgment!

C1N1C · 28/06/2024 13:59

Stale marshmallows so they're seriously chewy!

It doesn't work for all brands, but Haribo Chamallows work well... Open them, spread them out on the table, come back in a week or two... soooo good!

Auburngal · 28/06/2024 16:43

One of my friends recently gave birth to her DS and her craving was chilled cola bottle sweets dipped in mayo.

I tried it out in curiosity and I can understand why she loved them.

XenoBitch · 28/06/2024 21:46

Not me, but heard about this from someone else today.

They remove the noodles from a pot of chicken & mushroom Pot Noodle, put a small pork pie in the container... put the noodles back in, and and make it up as normal.

This may win 🤢

A big glass of flat full fat coke.

I do the same but I spread English mustard on the pastrami first. It's a taste explosion.

HildaOgdensMurielle · 28/06/2024 22:31

ForestForever · 21/06/2024 21:41

I like opening a bag of wotsits and letting the air get to them for a bit so they go sort of like stale and chewy. I also like flat fizzy drinks. So if I ever have a bottle of coke or whatever, I’ll shake it up and wait for it to settle so it goes really flat and then drink it like it’s squash. I am perfectly aware that I’m a wrong’un. 😂😂

You really REALLY are a wrong’un!

mine was chippy chips with mushy peas, gravy, curry sauce and mayo in white bread with marg (never ever butter)-

but the other day I had a maccys double sausage and egg McMuffin with extra cheese, extra sausage patty and 2 hash browns, and it was possibly the best 20 minutes of my life thus far.

GoodHeavens99 · 28/06/2024 22:35

I like taramasalata on crumpets. 👌🏼

WiddlinDiddlin · 28/06/2024 22:41

Latest in our 'Will it Panini - The Flattening Adventures'...

Two thin crumpets, not yet cooked - butter them and then spread with Seriously Strong Cheddar spread, thickly, do not stint here. Then a smear of spicy mayo, chuck on any ham, salami, whatever it is you want... Sandwich them together, tops inward and cook on the Panini press..

Crispy on the outside, soft and fabulously cheesey inside without it dripping everywhere/anywhere as the magical crumpet holes absorb all the cheeseyness.

I think I;ll have another for supper.
