I dont know if I'm being silly but I have tried everything to get tickets, live close to london and willing to travel. Didn't even get on the wait list... Just heartbreaking as my daughter literally learnt to play the guitar (self taught) has every album and the infamous cardigan, t shirts ets. Just gutted as all we ever listen to in the blooming car is TS. It would have been awesome lifetime memories /core memory. Sad.

What is this "core memory" bollocks that everyone is trotting out with regard to the tour?

FakeMiddleton · 21/06/2024 16:19

Wait until the week before the August dates. All is not lost!

Edenspirits73 · 21/06/2024 16:20

Take them to a different gig - go and see lots of live music with different artists who aren’t charging £800 a ticket. Take them to festivals with tons of artists and where it’s an experience they will remember!

loropianalover · 21/06/2024 16:21

Obviously YANBU to be gutted you can’t go to an event you really wanted to go to - what’s unreasonable about that?

we need a separate Taylor Swift section at this rate!!!

Quite! I hate all these mega gigs that most people can’t afford!

DoneAdulting · 21/06/2024 16:21

Keep refreshing Twickets, there's been plenty on there for this weekend.

greencartbluecart · 21/06/2024 16:23

Tickets may appear - even the £60 ones

She will probably tour again

Cuppateatea · 21/06/2024 16:24

Life is full of disappointments sadly 😅

Amonthinthecountry · 21/06/2024 16:25

YABU - it’s just a gig.

You are being even more unreasonable posting here in the hope someone will message you offering their tickets.

RabbitsRock · 21/06/2024 16:25

DD15 says more are being released on Ticketmaster. Plus it’s worth looking at the official resales online

No3387 · 21/06/2024 16:27

There are tickets being released all the time

Die hard fans are signed up to discord and Facebook groups waiting for them to go live

I've heard lots of people have been getting them the week before and even on the day

But YABU with all the 'core memory' crap.

Edited

That's not what you said a minute ago 😉

ThisLoftySquid · 21/06/2024 16:28

DD got a £60 ticket the day before the concert. You might get lucky.

Also, she had a great time but it's only a concert at the end of the day. Not a life changing event.

Kinneddar · 21/06/2024 16:28

Unfortunately you're no different to tens of thousands of other people who couldn't get tickets.

Use the money you would have spent on tickets to go away for a few days or go some days out and get 'core memories' that way

StrawberryWater · 21/06/2024 16:32

You're not missing anything.

I've been twice and twice all I could hear were teenage girls sobbing and caterwauling the lyrics in horrible out of tune voices. Couldn't hear Taylor at all.

LizzieBennett73 · 21/06/2024 16:36

Tickets are still appearing, especially people who can't go at short notice. AXS has had a queue appear several times lately, and Twickets seem to have them. Even Viagogo sharks are selling at lower prices on the day.

RabbitsRock · 21/06/2024 16:39

StrawberryWater that would be my concern - DD15 was at Cardiff & her videos had a lot of screaming!

Screamingabdabz · 21/06/2024 16:40

Aw I get it op. Me and my adult dds didn’t get tickets either and I (a real cynic and take no bollocks) have real FOMO. I think TS is a real force for good and it would’ve been nice to share the buzz this summer. YANBU.

MsLuxLisbon · 21/06/2024 16:41

YANBU. I say this as someone who isn't remotely a Swiftie. I don't especially like Taylor or her music, but that doesn't mean that this tour isn't a Huge Thing. You are allowed to feel disappointed at missing out, but as others have said, all is not lost. You may still be able to get tickets.
As for all the people who say 'it's just a concert' and 'why waste money'?; do you say the same for people who want to watch sporting matches, or even other musical artists? I do think a lot of this naysaying is down to dislike of Taylor. As I say, I'm not a big fan of hers but people are allowed to enjoy things and to be upset when they are disappointed.

Allfur · 21/06/2024 16:41

It's all those meanies buying em up who don't really want them

It isn't Taylor who is charging £800, though, is it? It is the price gougers.

countcalculia · 21/06/2024 16:43

I think any superfans would have tickets, by hook or by crook.

Maybe Taylor is reading and will offer you some tickets, OP.

Testina · 21/06/2024 16:43

Core memory? 🤨

It’s a shame she can’t go (although as people have said, tickets are released on the day) but that core memory mindset just isn’t a good one.

There’ll be a day when she’s playing her chords on that guitar and she’s laughing around with some friends all singing about their Champagne Problems… that’s the kind of memory that really endures and is really special.

Peekachewy · 21/06/2024 16:45

I got tickets on Wednesday through Axs. On our way to Wembley in a cab now. Tickets were £78 each

Not sure I’d pay £800 even if Bowie came back from the dead!
