To refuse to give my full date of birth to a delivery driver for my online food shop

I just placed an order for some groceries and provided photo ID on delivery - Oyster 60 plus photo card. The delivery driver refused to leave the shopping, there was one bottle of wine, as I refused to give my full date of birth. No wonder we have so much fraud!

That's fine - just stop ordering age restricted products. Can't have it both ways, can you?

If you're offended by having to give your DoB, the easiest way around it surely is ordering only groceries for delivery and picking up your wine at the supermarket/off license in person. And I also get that people use deliveries if this isn't viable for them - I myself have Dyspraxia and will likely never drive.
The delivery person has a job to do and if they don't do it, their job could be at risk.
