The pp who spend time lashing out at women who raise this issue

Would they prefer Self ID and puberty blockers still?

Don't be silly. Of course he knows. But you show me one person who never stumbles with words, never calls someone the wrong name, never gets the ages of their kids wrong. It's all the same part of the brain. Only yesterday I firmly announced that my daughter is doing A levels. She's not. Her brother is. That doesn't mean he is trans.

I said my son was 18 to someone yesterday. He's twenty Confused

Also regularly call the kids by each other and the dogs name.

Hmmm. Maybe I think my child has changed species

I wish some posters would bugger off back to their white middle class financially insulated ivory towers where obviously life under the tories has been amazeballs. No immigrants, no dodgy trans people, and happy for private schools to flourish without contributing anything whilst at the same time sending their own kids to state grammar schools. See the bigger picture they say, women’s rights will be destroyed under Labour whilst the Tories have been quite happy to shaft w/c women and girls for years. Couldn’t make it up.

If you read Hannah Barnes’ book and some of the other work that’s been done on this issue, it becomes clear that it was some of the most disadvantaged kids in our society - kids in care, abuse victims, kids with ASD - who were most at risk from the genderists and their dodgy drugs.

"Genderists and their dodgy drugs" =/= Labour

I’ve no particular view on the Starmer issue - none of my business- but nothing you mention here is remotely the same as calling a son a daughter or vice versa.

I think you’ve missed the point I was making. The PP was dismissing the concern re trans issues as a middle class obsession. That’s completely wrong.

Chickenuggetsticks · 16/05/2024 23:26

Tbh not having enough of a backbone to admit that no damn women has ever had a penis doesn’t look good does it. Also Dawn Butler should get in the bin.

They have all been pretty cowardly tbh but Labour are definitely better at throwing women under the bus when it comes to women's sex based rights. Lets hope they all find their spines.

AccidentallyWesAnderson · 16/05/2024 23:26

My mum would call me my siblings names (both sexes) before she got to me. It's not unusual. She'd never mistake having a son for a daughter though.

AdamRyan · 16/05/2024 23:17

Based on a typo in a daily mail article Confused

The mythical status of his child is irrelevant to Labour's position on trans issues. I find it deeply distasteful that it gets brought up as some kind of "gotcha" on these threads. Leave politician's children out of it.

🙄 it’s was in a verbal interview. Not quite sure what you are on about ref typo.

Also not a gotcha, the fact you think it is says more about you than me, or anyone else who brings it up as relevant.

Aren’t you tired of these dull threads?

Quite. But they know that.

Also it has to be said that pretty well all the senior leadership of Labour, including the hapless Starmer, are on the record as being signed up to genderism. So it’s absolutely fair to be suspicious of them in this regard.
tories doing a nice job of leaving him hogtied on this issue though. Will be amusing to see it blow up in his face when he’s in power 😂

It's not irrelevant at all or a 'gotcha'. He has a vested interest if his child is indeed trans.

Do you say that the posters on FWR with trans children and family members can't be trusted, because they have "vested interests"? Or the posters on the trans widows threads?

Personally I prefer to think most adults can separate family from work where necessary. And i still think it's distasteful to use a rumour with no evidence about a politicians child, to suit one's own political ends. Seems to be happening a lot. I've heard the same, incorrect, fact said about Yvette Coopers son.

Greengablesfables · 16/05/2024 23:32

AccidentallyWesAnderson · 16/05/2024 23:11

Just because you don't vote labour doesn't automatically mean you vote Tory.

It doesn’t. We all know this but to the labour supporters on here it’s always their fall back / critical analysis output….

But what if it did anyway. We are a free country and have many voting choices. It’s not up to anyone to tell anyone else who to vote for 🤷‍♀️

Agree with this, but Labour happy enough to drag their opponents wives and families in when it suits them. Perhaps they should be more circumspect if they don’t like it done to them.

There was a thread a couple of days ago where someone wrongly and accidentally said to a friend that she’d been to the Grand Canyon on a recent holiday.

One of the replies on the first page was:

”if it makes you feel any better, just after I had had my second baby, a lady who lived locally saw me in the local shop and asked me what I had.
I told her I had a girl .
I hadn’t it was a boy 🤪
I realise straightaway, but I couldn’t say anything, in case She thought I was bonkers.
Unfortunately, she started asking me what the name was et cetera. Luckily I managed to tell her my other child’s name.
I still think about how daft it was that I couldn’t remember what I’d given birth too . Never mind”

Brainfarts happen.

Who said anything about can't be trusted? Are any of the posters on FWR leader of the opposition party of this country? Yes you should be able to separate family life from work life there's still a vested interest there. I'm not sure why that's difficult to grasp.

Eh? Who are you referring to?
I have only seen Labour bring things up when there are actual facts that people might find relevant. Such as Rishi Sunak doing deals that benefit his wife's financial interests. That's fair game. Speculation about teenage children and their potential medical issues isn't. In my opinion.

Understandable if you'd just had a baby. Baby brain and all that. Not so much when you're a man with teenage children.

It’s not difficult. They just don’t want to because it doesn’t suit their agenda.. it’s a common method on these threads with some posters.., twisting and wilfully misinterpreting .

If you have evidence of impropriety or conflict of interest on the PMs part I’m sure you’ll be taking it to the relevant authorities. Or are you just spreading rumours you read on the internet?
