The way customers are buying paddling pools, BBQs, beers etc - they think it’s going to be this weather for 2 months. Could be thunderstorms for some tomorrow. Plus rain and mid teensC next ten days (Midlands)

Im sure people throw out electric fans after every summer.

People enjoying the weather when it’s here? How dare they.

Goodtogossip · 14/05/2024 13:14

You sound like a Fun in the Sun Debbie downer!! The first sign of a bit sunshine & I'm hunting out my bikinis to sit in the garden with a wine in one hand & a book in the other relaxing & enjoying the moment. Better to be a wishful thinker hoping it lasts than a doom & gloom fun sponge.

NeilTayloriscatwit · 14/05/2024 13:14

It's the outfits 😂🤦mine included btw. Because we only have a few days when it's actually warm enough to dress in summer clothes it's like folk have gone blind into a summer dressing up bag, ooh these shorts from five summers ago will look lovely with this crop top that fitted me when i bought it in 1995, but im wearing itbcos its summer clothes😂

I love the rain. No power tools being used for hours on end, no ball kicking against the fence, no screaming from the neighbours and no dogs left outside to bark all day. Heaven.

It's been a marvellous few days of glorious weather, and we have enjoyed it. But today, we got out the pressure washer to clean two year's worth of shit off the terrace and patio. Five hours later, it looks so much better, but we are totalled and we are going to be stiff tomorrow. Because we are nearly 70, not 50. But when we have recovered from our exertions, we shall enjoy the results!

@Papyrophile

i take it you have a perfect body?

@peakygold

how antisocial you sound

we’ve had months of being stuck inside whilst it’s rained now it’s SUMMER TIME!! Yasss

Arlanymor · 18/05/2024 14:35

Who throws away seasonal stuff just because the weather changes?! Do you throw out all of your Christmas decorations every year?! Fans go into the shed each year, just as paddling pools, barbecues, etc. do.

If it helps, it’s currently pissing down in Swansea… feel better?!

Oh you sound so happy! Shut in your house because it's raining.

Live and let live!

Do you feel silly yet, OP? It is ROASTING today and everyone is out enjoying the gorgeous sunshine.

Polishedshoesalways · 18/05/2024 15:24

It is gorgeous! And set to be just like this for weeks.

Not sure where you are but down in the South East it's max 20/21c and cloudy that isn't warm enough to sit outside let alone roasting.

I feel the cold. Like, 5 layers in April cold, but I considered my garden bikini today. Did get a bit of an edge later, but the pool was out this morning. 20 or 21 degrees. N west.

Polishedshoesalways · 19/05/2024 14:33

In bikinis here. 24c - cloudless sky. Aperol spritz later with a BBQ couldn’t be happier 😎

Youdontevengohere · 19/05/2024 14:52

Lovely and warm here today too. Really glad I bought the new paddling pool/garden games etc a couple of weeks ago 😁
