People going OTT as sunny n warm for 1-2 days

The way customers are buying paddling pools, BBQs, beers etc - they think it’s going to be this weather for 2 months. Could be thunderstorms for some tomorrow. Plus rain and mid teensC next ten days (Midlands)

Im sure people throw out electric fans after every summer.

It’s the UK! People know it’s only
likely to be hot and sunny for a total of a week over the entire Spring/Summer Season so they intend to make the most of it! Sunshine, quick, get the suntan cream/bikini/barbecue/fan out NOW, it’ll be gone in a minute!!!! 😂

It's been a marvellous few days of glorious weather, and we have enjoyed it. But today, we got out the pressure washer to clean two year's worth of shit off the terrace and patio. Five hours later, it looks so much better, but we are totalled and we are going to be stiff tomorrow. Because we are nearly 70, not 50. But when we have recovered from our exertions, we shall enjoy the results!

I did exactly that! Saw the forecast for the weekend and bought coal for the bbq, a parasol, paddling pool and float for my little one as it will be his first summer. I want to make the most of sunny days and enjoy it while it lasts, and everything can be stored until it's next needed but we've got the whole summer to enjoy it and there will be plenty more days of 20 degree weather. I don't regret getting any of it, we had two lovely days predominantly spent outside and I've had the nicest weekend I've had so far this year!

Well all those things will still be there in the summer so may as well get some use of out them now & enjoy the sun

I love this weather. Sure it’s hot, but we’ve had a long, cold and rainy winter. I always look forward to the Spring, and I love May so much.

When people stop getting excited about the small things ... warm weather, a sunny weekend. maybe seeing friends after the winter, and no covid isolation .... then there is no future. Just blanket, life-ending depression.

However, the human race will continue to find small joys.

As much as you're stuck behind a till, you too will find small joys in small things this summer and be happy.

It's been a horrible miserable, wet winter with spring not being much better, just enjoy the nice weather for as long as it lasts and if people want to buy paddling pools it's nobody else's business.

What a weird post. What has it got to do with you if people choose to spend their money to enjoy the warmer weather! You sound like an absolute fun sponge.

The hot weather lasted 3 days, I'm back in jeans and a hoodie today and I'm glad I made the most of it whilst we had it.

I bought a BBQ, 6 crates of beer, a shit tonne of meat and loads of salad on the weekend, I'm crazy me.

And it's still warm (21) and sunny here in the 'burbs of Manchester

Still warm and sunny here, might even go completely insane and buy some steaks to BBQ for dinner this evening!

We bought BBQ food and some beers and and have none left now, have had our fan for over 5 years though.
