Having watched her interview this evening, everything about her screamed 'liar'. Her language, her demeanor, her body language. I just wonder what other think?

@Saltyswee forgot to include child benefit and Scotland's Additional Child Payment in that list of benefits.

It'll give you the chance to calculate like-for-like percentages across GB&NI.

HTH.

I salute you ! Legend !

I would expect the interviewer to have some facts to present her with?he could have seen the emails/letters/tweets and tell her that, as well as she had a restraining order. Facts easily proven that Piers could have before the interview.
'My childhood was impoverished, a middle class upbringing' I was 🤔 at that

JamSandle · 09/05/2024 22:55

I watched about twenty minutes and couldn't stomach it. I loved the BR show but this felt too far for me.

GlitteryUnicornSparkles · 09/05/2024 22:55

She’s definitely full of rubbish thats for sure!

Photographic memory but can’t remember how many e-mails she sent or exactly how many times they met. 6 e-mail addresses each for different things such as utilities, work and friends! and 4 phones for different groups of people!!! 🤯. I’d also have thought someone with a photographic memory would have done better academically.

Grew up impoverished with a middle class upbringing is a total contradiction.

She seems to be arguing that there isn’t an injunction out against her because of a technicality, served with papers but it failed to go to court due to a balls up, so shes actually confirming there should be one even if there technically isn’t!!!

She looked extremely uncomfortable / panicked at the idea of a lie detector test.

I agree with posters about the pointlessness of the interview, he keeps saying everything is easy enough to check and prove or disprove yet doesn’t actually present any evidence to put to her beyond disclosing he spoke to a former employer.

Netflix is surely duty bound to complete due diligence and fact checking in regards to something that they are putting out as a true story so I’d be surprised if there isn’t some evidence out there.

Completely agree, I worry that neither her nor Richard Gadd are actually being supported in any way through this and Netflix have shown no duty of care to either of them, it’s awful and I dread to think how it might end.

Yeah, this. ^

God, Piers Morgan is a cunt for doing this. So is anyone who chooses to watch it as it just encourages his cuntish behaviour.

Fiona harvey backed every answer from piers from a "law" perspective, when he asked her about her law degree and grade, she ignored it 4 times, begs to belive she did not achieve or attend, fabricating the law fantasy, which totally invalidates all of the answers she gave which was the final blow piers was looking for, not to mention the 6 email addreses and 4 phones

EmilyBronte82 · 09/05/2024 23:11

Not watched it but I’d be shit scared if I was Piers Morgan!

Ireolu · 09/05/2024 23:11

I cannot stand Piers Morgan but even this to me is a new low. She was apparently paid £250 for this 'interview'. Exploitative, weird and unnecessary IMHO. I haven't watch the show and won't be watching the interview

kkalley · 09/05/2024 23:18

she could talk her way out of anything thats what makes her scary

mrsed1987 · 09/05/2024 23:22

It says 'video not available' now! I had just settled in bed to watch it!

SabreIsMyFave · 09/05/2024 23:23

I am still seeing it @mrsed1987

Babybreath · 09/05/2024 23:25

It's uncomfortable viewing, she's obviously not a well woman.

MohairTortoise · 09/05/2024 23:27

Whether she's telling the truth or not doesn't change my opinion.
Either she's telling the truth and has been exploited by being lied about to create a drama.
Or she's not telling the truth and is an incredibly vulnerable person who, at the very least has had substantial mental health issues in the past, and is possibly still battling those, and in that case, a mentally ill person has been exposed in order to create a drama.
Netflix & Richard Gadd can't claim the moral high ground in either of those options.
They have exploited someone in order to further their own agenda.

It was never necessary for Baby Reindeer to be described as being based on a true story.
Let's not forget that there is also considerable speculation as to the real life identity of the rapist, and as such, potentially innocent men are finding themselves in a position where they feel they need to defend themselves.
When Richard Gadd was asked to put an end to the speculation, by revealing who the rapist is, he declined by claiming that 'everyone knows the identity of the rapist.'

If Richard Gadd didn't want to be asked to identify the people the characters are based on, perhaps he shouldn't have sold the drama as real, and instead, left it as a dramatisation.

We decided to take this down as it is not in the spirit of the site.

Oh give yourself a shake for goodness sake. Can you please give clarity to your claim 56% of the population are on benefits?

Getting back to the OP it was an uncomfortable watch tbh. She reminded me a bit of Susan Boyle in interviews which made me wonder if she was ND?

She tripped herself up a few times and she completely skirted around the degree question (amongst others). Will she sue Netflix/Gadd/the Daily Mail? I won’t hold my breath.

@mrsed1987

Excellent thank you, that worked

JeepSleeHack · 09/05/2024 23:34

Im not watching cause fuck Piers. No one is trying to hold the grooming rapist tv producer to account, just the mentally unwell woman.

Netflix really fucked with this series. I’m cancelling subscription. Done with them. And trust Piers to get his rocks off by exploiting this.

OvaHere · 09/05/2024 23:35

BustyMcgoober · 09/05/2024 21:53

Reddit are saying it’s a Black Mirror episode in real life. Which pretty much nails it I think.

The last series of Black Mirror which I think ironically was on Netflix had an episode about a pseudo Netflix where someone sits down to watch a show they discover is an acted out version of their own life and the the people they know.

There must be a lot of cunts in your world then.

This, is what narcissistic personality disorder looks like.

She is clearly unwell, but she’s also very very unpleasant and I’m in no doubt after seeing that that she has the capacity to be incredibly dangerous. She really didn’t seem to be lying, I think she genuinely believes her own fantasy construction of herself and events. Chilling.

This is how I feel about it as well.

I think she is unwell and needs to be left alone. I think she is being exploited.

However I also find her incredibly unlikeable and agree she is dangerous.

I was expecting her to be brighter than she is though. I don't think she comes across as intelligent or articulate. I think she's someone with a lot of misplaced confidence and a posh voice....but nothing beyond that.

Her awful pronunciation of hyperbole, her use of "£750-£100k" (whatever that means), her constant name dropping of Scottish lawyers, talking about how Gadd was "spreading gossip about her around Camden" like she thinks she is some sort of celeb (admittedly, she possibly is now, but not back when she was talking about).

She just seems to have such an inflated sense of her own importance.

From the sounds of it she has never worked.

I think she js not very bright. But I think she also thinks that everyone else is stupid too. she tells ridiculous, far fetched, unlikely lies.....and then gets visibly annoyed when someone dares to doubt her.

I fully believe she sent those 41,000 emails and think she is a very dangerous woman.
