Next door neighbour has invited me a round for a glass of wine. DS will be in bed next door I have camera on his room so I can see him.

Would you go or not? Or does it feel to much like a Madeline McCann situation.

No.

Fecked · 27/04/2024 18:57

Ask her to come to yours?

ElinorDashwood68 · 27/04/2024 18:57

No

CanaryMary · 27/04/2024 18:57

I don’t think I would , but I’m detached.
I have older siblings though (teenagers) so if they were home I would be happy to go, but not if I only had one baby/toddler no

Thepinkyponkc · 27/04/2024 18:58

No way- are you really asking that?

Justbrowsing2024 · 27/04/2024 18:59

Not a chance

Icanseethebeach · 27/04/2024 18:59

NO!

SquirrelHash · 27/04/2024 18:59

In light of the camera which I presume is on an app? I would probably go for one but I wouldn't feel as good as if she came to mine instead

AhBiscuits · 27/04/2024 18:59

No chance. You can't leave a baby home alone.

Kinshipug · 27/04/2024 19:00

No. Can't she come to you? Or you put him in a bed at her house?

Keely199 · 27/04/2024 19:00

Absolutely not!

Morechocmorechoc · 27/04/2024 19:00

If y9u have a working camera on him then what's the difference to being at home, as long as the signal works.

Ponoka7 · 27/04/2024 19:00

Depends on if it's normal for him to wake. Does he try to climb a safety gate on the stairs etc. The set up of your house, are there large drives to run down etc. In a two up two down, I might.

MidnightPatrol · 27/04/2024 19:00

How far away are we talking?

I live in a terraced house and would go next door leaving them in bed IF I could physically see them on the camera.

Sitting in my neighbours kitchen I am 2-3m further away than in my own house.

I also have left them asleep in hotel room with similar camera set up, not far away, have to have the screen visible at all times.

I don’t think it’s particularly dangerous if I can see they are there!

whistleblower99 · 27/04/2024 19:01

You won’t hear them choke on a camera. You won’t see a fire until it is too late for damage from smoke inhalation. Any parent suggesting they would needs to have a hard look at their crap parenting.

Sprinkles211 · 27/04/2024 19:02

Jesus christ this has to be fake

Usernamerequired123 · 27/04/2024 19:02

Not a chance. I've always called my friends home. Why would you even ask that?

Also, can your son get off safely off the bed ? What if he rolls over in his sleep? I think you need to be in the same house.

Allfur · 27/04/2024 19:02

With monitor, yes

Createausername1970 · 27/04/2024 19:03

To pop round to pick something up and be back within a few minutes - yes. No different to putting bins out.

To actually go next door for a glass of wine and potentially lose track of time and not check the camera - no.

MrsO3 · 27/04/2024 19:03

No! Why can’t she come round to yours?!

likepebblesonabeach · 27/04/2024 19:03

No I wouldn't

Overthebow · 27/04/2024 19:03

Floralnomad · 27/04/2024 19:03
