A male was caught on camera whispering to a small boy and then biting his ear in a potentially sexual way.

The police are now involved too

the boy didnt care
agree, stop clutching your pearls and jumping to hideous conclusions.

I'm with you. He wasn't bothered. I cannot believe the posts on here. Social media absolutely has so much to answer for.

I will eat my words happily if this is investigated and turns out to be some sordid abusive dynamic. The dad wasn't phased at all when he saw the cameras because he felt he had nothing to hide.

Pearl clutching doesn't even begin to describe ffs

That poir lad , he'll have a hard time going back to school after the weekend. Reminded me of the Paul Scholes biting his dds toes, yuk.

I'm sorry, what!? Actually, don't tell me. I don't want to know.

that is your imagination that is all, letting run away with you @SabreIsMyFave

The same way it's all these other people's imaginations? The same way it's so imaginary the police are investigating it?

No the dad (if he is the dad) looked shocked to find himself on camera. I'm not sure how you are justifying this extremely weird (at best) behaviour.

BringItOnxxx · 27/04/2024 23:45

We should always listen to our gut instincts and mine was screaming foul play. Poor boy 😪

Unfortunately your history is clouding your judgment.

What a disgusting comment

I'm also struggling to see how anyone can defend this!

To me the boy kind of froze and looked uncomfortable when it happened.

I appreciate every family is different and do different things but if I saw anyone (including their father) do this to either of my kids I'd be straight on the phone to the police! It's disturbing and creepy, and I am no pearl clutcher!

I really hope the young boy is ok.

I agree, if the boy would have laughed, or gone ‘eurgh’ or something, you might think it was a dad mucking about, but he just froze, poor thing. Seeing that reaction made me feel very uncomfortable about the whole thing.

Glad the police are investigating

pambeesleyhalpert · 28/04/2024 01:46

It made me feel
Really uncomfortable watching it. Can't believe some posters don't see an issue here

Summerpussy · 28/04/2024 01:59

I saw it , uncensored
I was totally shocked
It was like watching two lovers ,where one was just tolerating what the other was doing
My first and only thought,was
Oh my god that poor child is clearly being abused..
I hope his school are aware of this ,as he is going to need some support going back in on Monday
The people saying it's innocent...reminds me of Jimmy savil amazing how people thought that was innocent

GirlOverboard123 · 28/04/2024 02:13

Is everyone 100% sure that’s a young boy? I can’t watch the full video on iPlayer, but from the clip they kind of look from certain angles like a very slight, youthful looking 20-something year old woman with long, tied back hair.

SD1978 · 28/04/2024 03:23

Have seen some posts on Facebook regarding this- and was seriously shocked by some of the comments- from women who don't see anything inherently wrong with ear 'nibbling' their children- although not condoning the way this man did- because it makes their child giggle- it's an errogenous zone- of course you child giggles because it feels nice- gave me the absolute Envy

1000% sure it's a young boy. He's maybe 14 maximum.

inigomontoyahwillcox · 28/04/2024 04:52

The bite is inappropriate and disgusting, but the way the man whispers in his ear first - the mannerism in which he does it - is creepy as hell and appears as though the man/father is very controlling and domineering. So putting the 2 things together makes it very disturbing .

Of course there's a chance it was all acting - just making it up for shits and giggles on the telly. But on face value it's worthy of investigation.

There's a world of difference between nibbling an ear when play wrestling with a giggling 3 year old and whatever the fuck this is.

I still give my boys ‘wet willies’ and they are adults! I think you are right to be sceptical, a silent clip of a few seconds looks weird, the whole clip close up looks much less sinister, the boy is there with his little brother and his dad and they seem like they are having a great time waving at the cameras pulling faces, and laughing, l would say this was just a playful bite on the ear, it might seem weird to some, but as you say my kids and I did a lot of that silly face licking, wet willie stuff.

My son is 7 and often tries to play fight with me, ( I'm recovering from anorexia, I'm not much heavier than him ) so he can often get a good grip of me

Whenever I manage to "win" I always nibble on his ears! DS has suspected adhd and absolutely loves playing rough, he will put his face in my face and we will both sort of snarl at each other

If you didnt know us I bet it would come across as really aggressive when it's not, we are playing

PhamieGowsSong · 28/04/2024 08:53

I watched the actual video footage yesterday, the man's actions were sexual (nuzzling, licking, a whisper, snd biting the ear), just like you would do with a partner, not a child. The poor boy froze, then pointed out the camera, and he waved like a child to the camera. The man looked genuinely shocked he was on camera then tried to play it off with grinning and shaking his head.

The whole interaction turned my stomach, I actually felt sick.

Those who are saying nothing to see here, it's fine, other parents interact differently than you. I bite my kid's ear etc. It was the whole interaction which was disturbing, it looked sexual not playfighting / playful. I am far from a pearl clutcher, but this was so overtly sexual I don't see how anyone could think otherwise. Thank god the police are involved.

Predators do act in plain sight too.

Yes 100%. It's a young boy and it's very uncomfortable to see imo.

It looked all kinds of wrong to me but have the Police not now come out & said there's no further investigation?

It looks weird to lots of people. I think people who use social media and post pictures of their kids on there are really weird. I'm in the absolute minority. I am happy to stand alone in my knowing on that one. The masses act like absolute imbeciles. I recall the scandal when David Beckham kissed his daughter on the lips. Such outrage. Ridiculous

With this, we really won't ever know for certain will we with what info we have so far. Everything about this says not the mainstream, not the norm, that doesn't make it wrong to me. I nibble my son's ear! We make weird squeaky noises.

When I look at the public, the masses and how blimmin insane they have become I will go with my instincts every time. If I'm wrong I will come back on here and apologise.

As for the fallout on this for the kid, I blame the masses again. The idiot who first put it on social media so everyone will give him a like. Idiot

OneTC · 28/04/2024 11:26

Chris Jefferies is a good example of when a nation of people can collectively be fucking idiots

"He must be a creepy murderer because he looks like one"

Part of the reason we have a court system is because large groups of riled up people don't deliver justice

Only news items I can find from the last few hours say they're investigating/reviewing the video.

absolutely, that is a story to bear in mind, the case of christopher jefferies.

Perfect example of what I was trying to say

Saralouhe · 28/04/2024 11:42

I think people saying he knew the camera was there and was pulling silly faces at it before hand as a justification are off.
He may have been stood there so long that he let his mind wander and simply was not thinking about the camera in that moment.
He forgot he was potentially being filmed and behaved in a way that is normal to him and the child reminded him there's a camera there.

When people show you who they are, believe them.

Littledidsheknow · 28/04/2024 13:23

It's really nothing like it. The treatment of Christopher Jefferies was disgusting and unjust. He did nothing wrong and nothing that could be open to misinterpretation. I also disagree that he "looks like a creepy murderer" - just a little eccentric.

This is the opposite: dad looks nice and normal but his actions could well be indicative of something else.
