AIBU in noticing a increase in radical feminism on MN?

I'm not talking regular old feminism where equal rights are the goal, I'm sure we can all agree on that being important.

But there is a level of extremism emerging that goes from dizzying entitlement to outright man hating.

What gives?

I don’t think it’s radical feminism. I think women are just so much more educated and alive to the issues and JUST how affected we are, by so many different things, by being a woman.
From seatbelts, to health care, from child care and pay gaps to violence.

it may seen like a ‘lot’ and extreme, but then we have to put up with a lot don’t we? I’d say male violence is more ‘extreme’ than any brand of feminism.

There are misandrists and misogynists on here. Don't agree it's about feminism per se (radical or not). It just reflects the real world, albeit people are less inhibited in an online forum and sex based anger more apparent.

I don't know much about radical feminism but I do like fluffy kittens.

The other week I was accused of misandry because I pointed out that cat calling is not a compliment and that young women (like my daughter) do not like it and don't want it. According to this person, they should be grateful(!) So people have funny ideas about what misandry actually is.

Still not clear what the OP thinks radical feminism is but putting my 10 p on a bet that she's wrong.

Also getting slightly concerned that to keep my feministy credentials I now need to do my bit towards killing 2 - 3 men a week. Fortunately, as a middle aged woman I am completely invisible so should be able to get away with this. I have also been keeping a little list...
