Does your uni aged children know who Heather Mills is?

Heather Mills was constantly in the media in the 2000’s as the wife of Sir Paul McCartney. If you was to ask your DC at uni or in their 20’s who she was would they know who she is? And what she was known for?

I’ve just asked mine and they didn’t know. So I showed them a picture and they still didn’t know. Then I showed them a picture of Jimmy Saville and they didn’t know who he was either.

Well, I had to think about it and I’ve met her.

To be fair, she was mainly 'in the media' during her very high profile divorce from Paul McCartney.

Occasionally she still gets a mention on the Private Eye podcast, with reference to the time she tried to pass herself off as the investigative journalist Heather Mills (no relation).

I was initially thinking of Hayley Mills. Ironically my university aged DC would actually know who Hayley Mills was.

I'm mid 40s and had completely forgotten that name and had to google it, so no it's fair to say that uni age kids wouldn't have a clue. She hasn't been relevant for a couple of decades (and even then wasn't really, the newspapers just thought she was)

Well, she's out so I haven't asked. But I'm pretty certain that she would have no clue. Heather Mills is pretty irrelevant to everyone, these days, isn't she?

DD would definitely know who Paul McCartney is, though I don't know if she would be able to identify him from a photo. I think she might also know who Linda McCartney was, mainly from the food company which we have talked about previously. Heather? Definitely not, I'd say!

No . Why would they. I’m in my 50’s and I had to google her. Once I saw it I remembered but I can’t imagine why a 20 year old would !

No they don't. One of them only vaguely knows who Paul McCartney is! The other one is a Beatles fan but hasn't a clue about their private lives except John Lennon's a bit.

I'm 53 and the only time I ever came across her was when she was on Dancing on Ice. And incredibly irritating she was too. I'd never heard of her before that and don't think I've seen anything about her since then.

I'm early 30s and have never heard of her. Just asked in my girl group chat (early 20s to early 30s) and not only has nobody heard of her, but half or them don't know who Paul McCartney is (although most have heard his name).

The last I heard of her was when she was complaining about her £Ms divorce settlement and threw water over PM's lawyer who laughed about it and looked a lot better afterwards! Although didn't she go into vegetarian food or Quorn or something like that?

No that was Linda his first wife who sadly died of cancer back in the late 90,s .
