just thought I'd point out, there's a whole subreddit dedicated to MN users mocking threads / posters from this site

Thought I'd point that out to people who may be unaware

To be fair most of us on here are twats, snobs, racist, stupid, thick as mince or just plain arseholes.

If anyone dares say anything mean on here it's either handbags at dawn or the OP demands the thread removed.

Also if there is a Reddit about cunts who pop up after 800 posts to say the same thing as poster number 3, swishing in like the Knowledge Queen armed with the correct answer to save the OP from 798 wrong answers then send me the link as that is a place I want to be.

I once googled something that had been discussed on MN and found a whole Reddit thread following the MN thread post by post. It was really weird how obsessed those people were. The MN thread was kind and supportive and the Reddit thread was all about slagging off MNetters and projecting all sorts of nefarious motives on to them. It was quite frankly, batshit. That was my first and last visit to Reddit.

What's the point of any post?

There are forums talking Mumsnet and Tattle and Reddit and it becomes one glorious echo chamber after a while. Instagram has an account dedicated to doxxing people on Tattle. The person behind that seems quite unwell. The rest of it is just a bit of ribald mockery. Life is too short to go back to forum wars circa 2008.

Is this a backhanded attempt to send people looking (and joining) them?

Anyway, I guess after the number of times they've been referred to over the years, most people know about them and don't care.

Yup. There's more than one reddit group of mners. And about mners. There's also tattle, twitter and several fb groups and small forums of groups of mners. There's mumsnetmadness.
And places like pistonheads and 4chan etc used to love to bitch about mumsnet. Don't know if those sites are still going.

It really doesn't matter.

Ironically, they get on better with each other than people do on this "support" forum (as do the Tattle people). The only time I've seen a pile on is when Trolly McTrollson bragged about trolling MN, and when someone tried to dox Pamela.

I looked at tattle once. I can't believe people have the time to be on a web forum, discussing another web forum.

Their lives are either extremely enviable or extremely sad, and I don't know which. But fuck me, how boring and pointless.

Same goes for any MN Reddit boards. Don't care if anyone like that wants to laugh at me.

I think it's posts like this that make people on other forums take the piss! I very much doubt that anyone on Tattle would be in the slightest bit jealous of any of the bizarre threads in Style and Beauty - particularly some of the clothing recommendations 😂😂😂

Not news. It's been around for a long time. Unlikely jealousy ... it's a hilarious go-to on this forum that everyone else is jealous. It's attitudes like that which leads to mocking.

There are lots of places taking the piss out of mumsnet, I love some of the reddit threads. My friend works nights, and she told me on their break her team read out threads and collectively come up with stupid replies.
