To think this is a vote winner (though not election clincher) from Sunak?

Thought this was an impressive and clear response to the question, from Rishi. I suppose Labour will likely win by a landslide, because many people don’t care enough about women’s rights. Because I do care very much about women’s rights, I may vote Conservative for the first time ever (cue outrage for Lion). Will I regret it? Possibly. But I’d regret voting for Labour (aka women’s rights removers), even more.

Honestly, you're accusing people of posting ridiculous things, but try taking an honest look at your own posts. Do you really think a gif suggesting you think someone is "crazy" is an adult thing to post?

Yes what is this crap

AdamRyan · 14/02/2024 22:56

I don't think posting conspiracy theories suggesting people are deliberately hiding "facts" is an adult thing.
Or claiming people with perfectly mainstream opinions are "harming women" is an adult thing.

Quite.

You think it's an adult thing for us to pretend that we're not being harmed when males are welcomed into female spaces? to be clear this is a question, not a statement. this is your chance to clarify if that's not rather point you were trying to make. The mainstream view is males should not be in the ladies.

izimbra · 14/02/2024 22:55

So you have a trans woman colleague that you refer to here with male pronouns.

Would you do this within earshot of your colleague?

Would you continue to do it if you thought it hurt and embarrassed her?

Would this person carry on asking people to use opposite sex pronouns if they knew it hurt and embarrassed them?

Must be hard work when they are not myth but fact.

Why would it cause personal hurt and embarrassment to you to use someone's preferred pronouns?

Why?

Do you care one jot for the large number of women assaulted and excluded because TW are in their spaces? is this just some general empathy deficit here? there are 30,000 tw in the UK apparently. I'm not sure what % of them will be abusers but perhaps some more clever MNetter can extrapolate from the male offending stats and tell us how many abusers you want us to welcome into women's spaces. Personally I think 1 victim is too many but you apparently don't.

hotinhereandthere · 14/02/2024 23:06

Myth!

lifeinthelastlane · 14/02/2024 23:06

Statistically the existence of trans women in women's spaces can't disadvantage women as a group in any meaningful way because there are simply too few of them to matter
you are missing the point. When a single sex space is no longer single sex, it's not just transwomen who can access them. Any man who wants to can.

Why?

Because it's a lie that also diminishes the experience of me as an actual woman? And forces me to pretend to believe things that aren't real?

if a male is 'she' then ai can't be anymore. So I no longer can expect the protections afforded to people who are oppressed because of their sex. The only reason to call male she is because aibe been bullied into itx which would cause embarrassment. A man appropriating the female experience in this way is committing an act of male aggression.

Not at all. Women have been assaulted by TW who were in their spaces. Women are self excluding once they realise any women's space may have a male in it.

Yep. Can anyone here post the -

How many women, do you know? How many would you think acceptable, do you have any kind of upper limit, or is it a case of " as long as it isn't reported in my approved list of sources, I'm happy!" .
