The second picture, of the little girl sitting on her mother’s (I presume) knee. My DD is a similar age and I can’t get it out of my head. I just hope she got out of the situation and is ok. This country has its problems but bloody hell, when you think what other people in the world are going through, we are all so lucky to live here.

Israel shares horrific October 7 footage as it denies genocide charge

MailOnline has exclusively obtained the sickening video shown to the ICJ as judges are due to make an interim ruling on alleged genocide on Friday at The Hague.

"Kidnapped from their homes" so all of the journalists (who have so far managed to escape being shot at countless times despite clearly wearing Press vests) have had that happen to them? The journalists who are clearly showing exactly what Israel is and has been doing ~ targeting women and children like cowards.

The iOf are the only ones who have murdered their family and friends. Countless have lost their children due to the iOf. Young children.

All of the scenes showing what is happening at the hospital is clear for anyone to see.

They're called the IDF. Israeli Defense Force. With a capital "I"

Nooneknows99 · 29/01/2024 13:20

I totally agree with you. Hamas did this purposely to incite the response from Israel.
I weep for all the innocents affected regardless of who they are.

Gummybear23 · 29/01/2024 13:32

They did this.
We did this.
Noone asks the grieved.
Just stop all of it.

Sometimes I wonder if these posts are created by agents to stir unrest and arguments online. What sort of response were you expecting to get? The crime clearly doesn’t justify the punishment at this point, but how quickly you’ll be called
pro Hamas! Did Hamas get a tank and roll over a woman who was giving birth; to the point where the fetus was on the outside of her body crushed? Leave dozens of ICU incubator babies to suffocate and starve?
NO.

I’ll never believe that in 2024 we watched snuff movie after snuff movie on Instagram.

I got my post deleted yesterday when I referenced the same IDF tanks rolling over graveyards.

What happened on October 7th is the worst terrorist atrocity since 9/11 . Arguably it's actually far worse due to the deparavety of the way the victims were killed. Womens breast were cut off while they were alive ( then the played football with them🤢)....they cut a pregnant women's baby out of her stomach. They gang raped children. That people on the west are supporting these terrorist turns my stomach. You need to be anti Hamas NOT pro Palestine! Hamas are not as any good for normal Palestinians either... everyone will have better lives with Hamas gone. Support Israel to get real support to for civilians on both sides.

This.

Yes, I think they were probably trying to knock Israel's mask off. And it's obviously worked, but how many of the near one hundred thousand dead and injured agreed to be a sacrifice?

The frenzied monsters (including civilians and UNWRA employees allegedly) who gang raped women until their pelvis’s ripped apart, cut off children’s limbs, burnt babies, cut a baby out of their mothers womb, hacked off a man’s head off with a garden hoe, murdered whole families in their beds, took babies and toddlers as prisoners of war, were trying to knock Israel’s mask off?

That had to be the most ironic and moronic statement I’ve seen for a while.

At least we can all see what Israel has been up against now.

How many Gazans agreed to be sacrifices for the ideology of their elected government do you mean?

Damn sure the children didn’t.

It’s not like Hamas didn’t plan for and stockpile supplies in preparation for, the response they got.

OunceOfFlounce · 29/01/2024 19:04

I think perhaps you want me to start arguing about whether those things actually took place, but I'll stick to my point.

Before, it was, 'no, of course we'd never bomb a hospital. The palestinians bombed their own hospital'. But now they're openly putting all the hospitals out of use, while having maimed nearly twenty thousand children. A nurse gives her account of a hospital siege here. https://www.instagram.com/p/C2QdFTCO9M7

Before, they had good standing in the international community (and I'm sure that will continue). But most recently they were only supported by the Americans at the security council and lost at the ICJ. Whereas Palestine is now aligned with South Africa and their historic struggle.

Before, the argument that, 'you can criticise the UK, the US whoever, but criticising Israel is antisemitic' would have silenced a lot of people. But now, less so. And Israel has put it's supporters in the unhealthy and counterproductive position where many are trying to justify the murder of ten thousand, half starved children.

So things have shifted and Israel's moral high ground is crumbling to a lot of people and yes, I that could've been the aim.

As a general rule of thumb that has been applied by many over the decades: if Israel claims something has happened to them, they have nearly always committed it previously. The projection and gaslighting by Israel and its supporters has always been disturbing.

Just to be clear - Israeli soldiers cut open a woman’s womb and killed her baby in front her before she died of her wounds during the Sabra massacre. Israeli soldiers threw a Palestinian father and son in an oven during the Nakba.

Countless Palestinian women have been raped by Israeli soldiers over the decades, and children continue to be sexually abused whilst detained in prisons and cages. In their spare time, some elderly soldiers even like to laugh and reminisce about the brutal murder rapes of Palestinian women during the Nakba for documentary makers.

These are just a few examples out of the thousands of monstrous acts carried out by the IOF that directly address some of the claims made on this thread. The glorification of the Israeli forces by some (thankfully much fewer these days) is sickening, they are brutal terrorists by the definition of the word, they always have been and always will be.

I know many men who are in the IDF.
They are all lovely young men and fathers who would never carry out any of the atrocities you mentioned above.
Yes, they have been fighting in Gaza. They have bombed out buildings that had Hamas snipers shooting from them. They have shot at men ambushing with RPGs. They have blown up tunnels used to hide the terrorist and their rockets. They have been fighting hard.
They have also rescued malnourished dogs and cats. They have given medical care to Palestinian kids.
All the idf are intent on doing is getting rid of every single Hamas tunnel, rocket, weapon and terrorist. Honestly they are not evil monsters.

You lose count of the atrocities we bear witness to on a daily basis, don’t you?

It is because of a particular story he shared of a little boy in late October that I will never stop talking about Palestine. Little Reem too. I know I’m not alone in that, we all have one soul in particular that haunts us. I hope the heavens are kinder to these beautiful souls than their time on earth was.

Sorry to break it to you, but the chances are there is no heaven. People, children (Israelis and Palestinians) have suffered unimaginably and that’s it - their lives are destroyed, they’re gone forever. Don’t kid yourself they’re in a better place now, because it achieves absolutely nothing, apart from making us westerners feel marginally better.

For me it’s Khaled, 7 years old. His twin brother, Adam, died a few hours after birth. Their parents tried for 5 years to have them. They had no other children. His mother has an instagram, and the old pictures and videos and what she has written, are just heartbreaking.

And of course Khaled (Abu dia) and Reem. He has an instagram, which I follow largely to check if he is still alive. He is just such a lovely man, all the videos are him comforting the injured and helping people.

and the children who have lost everyone. I can’t even comprehend that.

And the report of the 7 year old girl, Hind, who is trapped in a car surrounded by Israeli tanks, after they killed 6 of her family members that she was with. As of an hour ago, the Palestine Red Crescent posted saying they were in communication with her trying to calm her, and at 6pm members of their team were in the area the vehicle was, but communication was lost and no one knows if they have rescued her or anything.

i don’t even know.

NO.

I was expecting to get a response along the lines of deep sympathy and horror for what that poor young girl was experiencing in that moment and what she’s gone through or about to go through. You know, basic human empathy, irrespective of religious beliefs or anything else, because she’s an innocent child and none of this is her fault.

Instead I got a ton of quite frankly, utterly despicable responses from people who clearly couldn’t care less about seeing a young girl in absolute turmoil. And are so blinkered, stupid or worse that they’re unable to see that being really upset by a photo of a girl from one “side” doesn’t mean you don’t feel deep sadness for those children on the other side of the conflict who have also been subjected to horrific violence. Shame on all of you who fall into that category, you disgust me. I hope that’s never your daughter.

@Missmuffin1984 do YOU feel deep sadness for that poor girl in my OP and the utter horror she was facing in that moment? I look forward to your response.

If people wish to believe in heaven, or any other type of after death experience, let them. It’s not particularly harming anyone, and if it comforts them when they are experiencing horror, who are you to say it achieves nothing. I don’t get faith personally, never have, but I don’t begrudge people who hope it will be better after death.

Sorry, but we all need to face the reality of the absolute hell these children are going through, because that is the only way things will ever change. Telling ourselves they’re in a better place now allows us to go back to our cosy little lives and comfort ourselves that at least there’s some sort of happy ending. Apart from making ourselves feel better, it achieves nothing.

I'm haunted by the thought of children starving due to the man-made famine in Gaza. https://edition.cnn.com/2024/01/16/middleeast/gaza-famine-starvation-un-israel-war-intl-hnk/index.html

Another deeply upsetting image that will haunt me. I assume you also feel the same as I do about that poor young girl in my OP, @Anisette - and all the other innocent Israeli children who were tortured and killed by Hamas? Just asking because I haven’t seen you express that anywhere on this thread. Apologies if I missed it.
