AIBU to find Liza Tarbuck annoying ?

I stumbled across her Radio 2 programme earlier this evening whilst exploring the various stations. I didn't know who it was until she mentioned her own name. Admittedly she did play some decent music but managed to talk utter drivel between every record. I didn't think it was possible to have access to a bottomless pit of verbal vacuous nonsense but evidently it is. I'm fully prepared to be told that lots of people like her and that's her broadcasting style and I am therefore BU. I don't think I'll be tuning in again.

For context, I was listening to Clive Anderson on Radio 4 beforehand and he can be cringeworthy at times. But nothing like Liza Tarbuck. BTW, does she put that voice on or is it her normal speech?

Listened to her in Claire in the Community...she was really funny

Ah I love Alan. He makes me laugh and he seems so warm.

We love her. It’s such a comforting show. Love listening on journeys and when snuggled up at home for the evening.

He was one of the best ever taskmaster contestants.

I absolutely adore her - clever, hilariously funny and warm.

I cannot BEAR her on that radio show. She makes me grind my teeth with cringe and frustration.

I can’t listen to her show either. I am sure she is a lovely person and maybe I would love her on the TV. I dislike disliking DJs for no apparent reason but some I just can’t do, including most of Saturday Radio 2.

I think she's great.

I listen every week as have nobody to talk to. It's like having a friend. Warm, funny and eccentric. Very gentle as well with different music and a good mix. I like Gary Davies afterwards.

I miss Ken Bruce, Paul O'Grady and Terry Wogan. The music on Radio 2 is mostly modern. Hard to follow now.

I was thinking the same OP! Turned on R2 in the car earlier and had to turn her off. She thinks she is funny. She is not. Far too pleased with herself and not that clever.

Yep. Completely agree. Can't listen to her at all. Not even for a few seconds.
Not keen on Elaine Paige either who is so nasally.

Sarah Cox is OK, but does far too many "shout outs" and phone chats with boring surbubian folk.

I miss all these presenters too, especially Terry. Also used to like Simon Mayo and Graham Norton, now only Liza worth listening to.
Like pp I also wish she were a mate of mine.

Only show i listen to on Radio 2 - love her. Wish she'd move to 6 Music or Radio 4 so i could permanently banish Radio 2 to the rubbish heap

I haven’t listened to her radio show but saw her on taskmaster and she was a delight.

Going against the grain here - I hated her on Taskmaster.

Out of all the DJs on radio 2 she plays the BEST MUSIC.

i love listening to her curated music selections while cooking On a Saturday night.
