I've only ever stumbled across it once. This was during the trial of the two killers of Brianna Ghey.

The comparison with MN was quite marked. Many, many Tattle users were sailing very close to contempt of court. A MN user turned up here, on one of the very few threads dedicated to the then-unfolding trial, and tried a similar trick. The thread was pulled - as prompted by users of MN ourselves - through fear it could legitimately prejudice a live case.

The content of the 'Tattle' thread was grossly, possibly criminally, irresponsible. And, yes, prurient, as a PP alludes to in relation to the Letby trial upthread.

I haven't explored 'Tattle' beyond this brief occasion, and won't be doing so if all it is is a dull 'celebrity gossip' site. They are relentlessly tedious. The royal boards on MN, which I studiously avoid, are grindingly obsessive and boring enough.

Never heard of Tattle. But if its for people who find MN upsetting, I think it might be a bit wet lettucey for me. Yes there are some posts on here that aren't very nice, but they're a minority and easy to ignore. If people are unkind to an OP plenty of others weigh in to defend them. I don't think I'd enjoy a site where you got reported and posts removed every 5 minutes as I'd much rather see challenge than censorship.

There was a thread last week where a poster basically called everyone on the thread shit parents. She called the OP of that thread a liar. She admitted that she basically expected her ex (the thread was about an ex making unfair demands) to jump to her demands. There was other things to, I can't remember them all but anyway...another poster called her out on her outrageous posts and she proceeded to call that poster a bully. Along came another poster to tell her to behave etc and was calling her out on everything, that poster had her comments deleted. The awful posters posts remained up. I was absolutely gobsmacked.

Incredibly so.

The irony is it's exactly the type of behaviour BritneysBitch slammed tattlers for.

I have never head of Tattle, but I will look it up. Generally I am amazed at how horrible people can be to each other. If I read one more poster writing 'give your head a wobble' or 'off you pop' I shall scream. After my head has wobbled and I have oft popped.

Hmm I'm not sure I'd agree. Pretty much everyone I know in real life who are rude/mean are pretty unhappy with their lot in life. I mean of course, you do get nasty folk who are just nasty, but the ones I've met tend to not be the happiest.

Been around on the www for a long time and have seen much, much worse. This is a very tame effort.
