Personally I think he's great and he's clearly living his best life but the demographic of the crowd. Middle aged white men and women. The lack of diversity is quite shocking.

@idontlikealdi it’s scary that people try so hard to be offended when there is actually nothing to be offended about.

I’m presuming the tickets were sold (as opposed to the audience being cherry picked). The people who wanted to attend are the ones who bought tickets! You want there to be a more diverse audience but how do you propose they achieve this? Imagine how up in arms everyone would be if there were X number of tickets for different groups of people.

How about people just enjoy the music (or switch off if it’s not your thing) and stop looking for things to be outraged about?

Reminds me of Ofsted criticising our tiny local village school for the lack of ethnic diversity. The families in the surrounding villages were all white. What was the school meant to do - drag kids from the city 10 miles out to a village just to keep Ofsted happy?!

What quota of 'diversity' do you want? There may be many different nationalities and races there. Do you only want the obviously diverse ones, is that how you discriminate for those who are worthy?

I once went to a Michael Ball concert and my friends and family laughed at me! Jokes on them - he was bloody brilliant

Just caught the end of Astley. Not my music at all, but he brought Sharleen Spiteri on. A middle aged woman, who looks like a middle aged woman. The more of those we get to see, the better.

I didn’t notice the audience but I enjoyed his performance. I am white and middle aged so I guess I am the demographic.

I like him, but I thought he was really, really boring tonight and sound quality was very poor.

People choose to go to concerts, they are not marched there at gunpoint, I’m assuming if young non-white people wanted to watch Rick Astley live, they would.
