Can't help but feel there is a message in the pjs handed out by MIL this Christmas.

The primark ones weren't even character based/specially chosen/christmassy. They're just grey all over. And there's no excuses for "don't really know her" as we've been together 20 years.

I’m afraid I’d agree with you. I used to have a “friend” who made a point of getting me a gift that was so not me whilst she would get the others in the friendship group really personalised, perfect gifts for them, with lovely cards. I heard later it was a game to see how far she could push it without making it obvious. Ditched her after taking her shit for a looonng time. I’d try to go no contact with your MIL (as much as you can).
